Yes. That makes sense. Of course, the left wants to wreck business. How best to do it then? It's obvious, tax it to death and regulate it to death. Next question.
Yes. That makes sense. Of course, the left wants to wreck business.[/QUOTE] it is hyperbole but try hamstring or hijack business to serve their nefarious goals.
Subversive thought: You could start by leaving 10 cents worth of capital with the lower middle class. -- Oh, I know I should never have said that. How stupid of me.
I'll agree to not call capitalism any more nefarious than socialism, as they're both simply systems that could be poorly implemented by nefarious humans, but I digress. But, everybody wants business to succeed, nobody wants to hamstring business. Yes, too high of labor standards will hamstring a business. But, the socialist bent is that too low of labor standards will hamstring business by hamstringing the labor/consumer pool. Nobody can buy products if they're only getting paid pennies per hour, or dying on the job, or can't eat. Even a person who gets a handout, at least that money ends up going back into the economy as opposed to being offshored. There is a balance.
Somebody did point out that one might as well be pleasant to others when on the way up, because one is going to meet them again on the way down.
AI and automation is certain to make huge numbers of people jobless in the near future. The Capitalists would dearly love for them to just disappear somewhere but that aint going to happen. So they will have to be paid enough money to pay their way or the whole house of cards will collapse.
Watching Into the Universe right now, a movie written by Stephen Hawking. Talks a lot about aliens. From what i gather if they visit earth, they will take manufacturing jobs from hard working americans. Be aware.
