Wiki for Trading Journal Use?

Discussion in 'Professional Trading' started by cubsguy81, Feb 11, 2009.

  1. I am curious as to if anyone here utilizes a personal wiki to organize and maintain their trading journal.

It seems this would be an excellent way to keep everything organized and facilitiate easy updates and changes. A wiki would be a better solution than a word doc or blog it would seem...

    Anyone?

  2. I have http://twiki.org engine installed. Very easy to setup/manage/backup since it uses plain file system, but also very powerful with numerous plugins.

  3. It also may be easier and more effective to verbally record your thoughts on your trades in real time during the trading day, and reviewing them in the evening.

I've been using pmwiki for the last 3 years and I like it very much.

Wikis in general are a great way to organize ideas and plan stuff out. I like how I can make revisions instantly as something pops into my head.

Check out wikimatrix to choose the best one for you.
