    Looking to purchase monitors for a new trading computer. Was wondering which you prefer for charting/trading. Not into gaming, just for trading and some net browsing. Any and all comments would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  2. I got a Dell 20" Widescreen last year and love it. Don't think I'll ever go back to standard size.

    Widescreen UXGA is very nice. Wide SXGA is no big deal.

    BEST = Wide UXGA... 2560x1600 & 1920x1200

    Next = Conventional UXGA, 1600x1200

    Average = SXGA, 1650x1080 (wide) or 1280x1024 (conventional 5:4)

    Widescreen is great for charting.

    If you want 4 charts on the same screen then fullscreen is probably better. Widescreen divided into 4 equal charts is too long and thin. It all depends how you plan to organise your screen.

  6. I don't like widescreen. I would only give it another try on a 22" or higher. I love my standard 19's.

    BTW... 22" has approximately the same vertical as 19" 5:4.

  8. Thanks Gnome, you are wealth of knowledge. :)

  9. They are not as popular as standard, therefore you get the same quality for less.

    Then again, they are not as popular for a reason.
