Is anyone using the widescreen LCD monitors? Are they worth the extra price? Does it give you more screen real estate or does it just stretch out the existing screen?

I always had the question "how large is large enough" regarding screens. I'm thinking in terms of comfort and I am a photographer so I am thinking in terms of art as well. One day some sales guys brought a 24" unit to run their pitch on and I had an "aha" experience. For some reason, to me, 24 was the number. It was clear to me at the time that a larger screen than 24 would not be better. They weren't wide screen however, they had the height to go along with... I'm thinking that screens are like cars, you should test drive them. I'm looking at a pair of 19's right now and they are just not quite "there" regarding size to my eye.
