I'm looking for a low profile, low wattage, PCIe x16 video card that with dvi output to one 20" monitor (1680x1050) and one 17" monitor(1280x1024). The NVS 285 would seem to be perfect except that the widescreen resolution does not seem to be officially supported. Apparently the Nvidia nview software does allow nonstandard resolutions but they also state that the monitor warranty could be voided, do at your own risk etc. Is anyone using the nvidia quadro series for a wide screen display? Would matrox be a better choice and if so which card specifically?
