A grid failure, caused by a natural disaster or solar storm. Natural disaster fallout. A dollar collapse. Regional war that interrupts global trade/energy shipping. EMP terrorist attack, local or regional, that wipes out the grid/banking/computer networks/cars. Apparently, there's 3 days worth of food in the supply chain.

  2. Prepping is a big business now a days. Somebody has to be scared of something. If doomsday comes, you will not escape, regardless of what you do.

I overheard my next door neighbor on the phone with his bank a few months ago. He was complaining to them about a direct deposit that wasn't made in time and it caused his rent check to bounce. In the course of the conversation I heard him say that he has exactly $571 deposited every 2 weeks. So not only is his bank balance so low he bounces his rent check, he only makes less than half of the median income in the state in which he lives. He comes home about 2 in the morning drunk 2 to 3 days per week. Oh, yeah, almost forgot - he smokes too. What are cigarettes, $5 for generics? For all I know he's burning up name brands at $7 a pack. He's not a young man just entering the workforce, he appears to be in his 50's. However, back to the point of the thread, the mobs of ne'er-do-wells rampaging in the streets, we probably won't have to worry about my neighbor, the way he hacks and coughs, he won't have the health and vitality to be a rioter. Whew.

Enough with the reactionary kneejerk comments. Anything associated with the right is "bad". Ya, we get it.

Solar storms happen much more frequently than originally thought. A large one could take out the grid. Or an EMP weapon. Remember Katrina? This about protecting YOU and YOUR family.

I've noticed a lot of hand to mouth types seem to drink and or smoke.
If you can afford it, fine. If you're checks are bouncing - you can't afford it.

You won't survive. Affirmative action won't be in play after "doomsday".

  8. Sir,

Back in the day there was a radio talk show host named Art Bell. He was the founder of what is now Coast to Coast AM. It is a late night talk show which specializes in black helicopters, UFO's, and bigfoot.

The was a man by the name of Ed Dames, who hawked a program called remote viewing. During one of Art's show, he spoke of a "kill shot". A massive solar flare that would take out Earth.

    This was quite the talk......

    In 1995.

So once again, the world has been ending every year since it was discovered that money could be made by scaring people into buying stuff.

    It continues, to this day.

And on 12/22/12, when we all have to get up and go to work, the purveyors of doom will on to the next target date. This one will go back to the threat of nuclear winter and all that.

  9. Here ya go.....I figured Art Bell is a demigod in the conspiracy world. This should be somewhere on the net. The date was not 1995, it was 1998.

  10. Yeah, that's all you got, Luke.:)

Tell me about the AA test that I took to get licensed.:D

It's nice. I like that you are relegated to AA snipes as your worldview becomes extinct.
