Thank goodness we don't live in such a binary, black and white world where one either works a job or sits around waiting to die! One can get a whole lot of fulfillment raising kids, creating art, learning new skills or new fields, serving those who need help...all things that would both bring me a lot more satisfaction and potentially create far more value in the world than, say, flipping burgers for minimum wage.
oil companies too ($20 B/ year) chicken processing companies like Tyson's Food, Pilgrim's Pride and Riceland Foods receive billion of dollars in farm subsidies. sometimes, I think the Department of Energy and U.S. Department of Agriculture are agents of these big corporations. They don't really work for the interests of tax payers.
