I am new to the prop business, but not new to trading. My style is position trading, holding a stock anywhere from a few days to several weeks. I am dollar neutral and my performance has been very good these past couple of years. I am looking into trading my strategy with a prop firm and I spoke to a couple of them. It seems to be no problem getting capital to trade, hence my question. From 1mill I would trade around 15k shs per day on average, if I pay $.05 all in that comes out to $75 per day, lets round it up to 20k per year. Why would a prop firm allow me to trade their capital if all they make is 2% per year??? I know I must be missing something here, what gives...
