Why won't Palin talk to reporters?

  1. They'll ease her in with Chris Wallace, or the like soon enough. I'd be surprised to see her on any of the Sunday morning shows anytime soon, but she'll probably have to make a token appearance within the month.
It's all or nothing with this pick. Mac will look like a genius or the biggest dope in the world. At 72, why not role the dice?

  2. It is fact that she did, not a rumor to make Sarah look bad. But librarian was given her job back when the people of the town supported her, and went against Palins decision. Maybe this seems a trivial point that I bring up, but to me it reflects the mindset of Sarah Palin that maybe she has no respect for the freedoms in America, or the constitution when the thinking and ideas are different their her own. That is not how America should be in my opinion

  3. This is the sort of thing that conservatives describe as "Maverick"
When you do what you think is right and ignore the will of the people ...the town could just as well be the whole damn country
if she got into office. Again that dictatorship thing Newt so very
blatantly confirmed for us when he was speaker.

Well if the idiots on this website payed more attention to the news they would have realized Larry Kudlow had her on twice. Once in June and again at the end of July. That is how I discovered her and became a big supporter of her.
People need to start doing their homework, instead of bashing. If you know nothing about her than whose fault is that?
Why was I able to know about her.
As far as addressing the media "FUCK THEM", they wouldn't give it it's proper do.
She should speak at the debates IMO and screw the media!

FYI: most women interviewed after RNC, that were on the fence are now voting for JM and SP. Was on Fox.
Secondly, women polled find it very offending that the left feels that the SP pick was to win women voters. To imply (which is what the left and the media are doing) that women voters only care about pro-choice vs pro-life is an insult to women. Also stated on Fox. And theses were Dems polled too!!
Amazing your own party fucks it's supporters.

  5. It's impossible to comment on this without knowing exactly what was involved. It's possible she overreached in her first electoral job, but it's also quite possible the librarian was acting irresponsibly. What were the books and why did Palin want them out? I don't know that the town librarian's judgment is the last word on the issue. It's easy to throw around words like censorship and book banning, but I doubt I can go down to the DC Public Library and find the collected works of David Duke.

On the other hand, something inside tells me that perhaps ALL politicians are basically arrogant liars. Since you can't find a good one, the challenge is to choose the least evil one, the one who would do the least damage, and, maybe, help a little. Sounds pessimistic, right? :(

  7. That is true, it is impossible to comment fairly without knowing what was involved. That is why I think someone should ask Sarah Palin why it is important for her to be allowed to ban books.

  8. Is it banning books or setting policy for the town library? Surely you're not suggesting that is not an appropriate role for the mayor and town council?

There was recently a case in California where a librarian lost her job because, after seeing someone looking at child pornography on the internet, called the police (the practice of frequenting those abusive sites is illegal.) Huge controversy, ginormous. Setting and policing library policy is not trivial, there's a lot of room for disagreement and misunderstandings here.

  10. Does a town and the council have the right to ban books from a library that are allowed in other librarys of that same country, and same state? I am not sure of which books Sarah Palin would want banned if she could. But I am sure she fired the librarian because the librarian would not agree to say yes to Sarah Palins request to ban books if she had to. So maybe someone should ask Sarah Palin which books she does not want in her town library, and why.
