This another illogical post. Implicit in Pascals wager is the concept that you are picking God and not some counterfeit.
Jem i am glad that you take the time to read my thread. I think that as you think about these questions you may start to hunger for more answers. That is the first step. Let me pose some other questions for you to think about: Does it ever bother you about why a book, (which is supposed to be Gods words and directions for us), seemed to leave out so many details, starting with Cainâs wife, or the real age of the earth? Did you wonder about the verse in Genesis, about the Sons of God who had children by the daughters of men? What was that all about? Were angles actually getting earthly women pregnant, as it seems to imply in Genesis? Did you ever wonder why God created Angels who would revolt from his authority, and then be cast out of Heaven, to torment and tempt men, just to finally be sent to the fires of hell forever? Did you ever ask yourself this question; âDidnât God know this was going to happen when he created the Angels?â Did you ever wonder why an Angel would even do this, since they are even higher beings than man? Did you ever think that if this could happen once with the angels, could it possibly happen again today? Does Isaiah 13:16 bother you? This whole chapter is about God's revenge on the evil people of Babylon. He tells how his armies will kill the people of Babylon, destroy their property, kill their children before their eyes, and rape their wives. How can this ever be justified? Does it really make you feel better to simply accept the premise that if God wanted to do this, then God is justified in doing this? Really? It was not just a statement of what bad men would do either. It was what the Army of Hosts, the army of God was commanded to do, in other words what God said he would send his army to do. Very troubling. Did it ever bother you, that a man named Jacob, could have a wrestling match with God, and win the match, and then get a blessing from God because of it? Can I request a match today? Did it ever bother you, or did you simply choose to overlook the fact, that it was Ok with God for women and daughters to be treated as property in the Old Testament, to be bought and sold? Did you ever wonder why God simply took a man named Enoch straight to Heaven? Enoch ascended into heaven, yet John3-13 says; No man hath ascended into heaven, except the Son of God. Also isnât it appointed to all men to die, except for Enoch somehow? Was Enoch a perfect man then? I thought only Jesus was perfect? Did you ever wonder about Melchisedec, for whom the Bible says is said to be "without father, without mother, (i.e.) without genealogy"; and he is described as "having neither beginning of days nor end of life"; he "abideth a priest continually." Did you ever wonder if the worldwide flood really happened? There is NO evidence for there ever being a worldwide flood. The evidence against it have been known for a long time--some dating back to the nineteenth century. The geologic record does not support it either. It is obvious that the story of the deluge is simply a tale told by a pre-scientific tribe who had no idea of the totally impossible situation that would have developed had the story been true. Did you ever wonder why Jesus said to call no man your master or rabbi (teacher), and Peter even stated, "You have no need for any man to teach you." So, why do we look to men, like preachers for answers to life's questions? (Matthew 23:2-13)? Did it ever bother you that Hell is never mentioned in Old Testament? Did you ever wonder why God did not give us the tools and knowledge to make life better on this earth from the beginning? God put us out of the Garden, and basically said, you are on your own, (No penicillin, no hospitals, no guns, no homes, no toothbrushes, no soap, no motor cars, no technology to build homes, or clothing, not a single luxury). Did you ever wonder who decided which books make up the Bible, and which ones donât and why, and who gave them this authority? How do we know the right books were picked? How do we know that the people who finally set the canon of the scriptures, (the books of the Bible), were directed by God to pick the right ones? You like me, have probably also heard the statement: âThe Bible is a book which has a lot of prophecies which came true, so this proves it is from God. Well, lets take a look at that issue. Do you think that all the prophecies in the Bible all came true? They didn't. If there are prophecies which did not happen is this Word still from God? Did it ever bother you, or did you realize that several Bible stories have two or more versions of the story, with different characters or different emphasis? For instance, there are two creation stories (Gen 1 and Gen 2). In the first version, God creates plants first, then animals, then man and woman. In the second version, God creates man first, then he creates plants, and then, so that the man should not be alone, God creates animals. Last, after the man does not find a satisfactory mate among the animals, (and lets be glad he didnât), then God creates a woman. There are two stories of Moses striking a rock to produce water. There are two versions of the Ten Commandments (one in Exodus, one that Moses recaps in Deuteronomy) with slightly different wording. There are, in fact, a lot of these doublets. Does it bother you that there are stories in the Bible where there are internal inconsistencies? The number of days, of the Flood story, doesnât add up right. At one point, Noah takes two of each animal; at another point, he takes two of some, seven of others. Joseph is sold into slavery to Ishmaelites in one verse, to Midianiteâs a few verses later. The Mountain of Revelation is sometimes called Sinai and sometimes Horeb. Moses' father-in-law is sometimes called Yitro and sometimes Ruel, and so on. Who Killed Goliath? David? I Samuel 17:23, 50 the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name...David prevailed over the Philistine wiith a sling and with a stone and struck the Philistine and killed him. Or Elhanan? II Samuel 21:19 And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob; and Elhanan the son of Joareoregim, the Bethlehemite, slew Goliath the Gittite. Does it bother you at all that there are three different stories about who came to the open tomb of Jesus and when they came? Did you realize that there are two different stories about when the Passover dinner was eaten, before the death of Christ? Did you ever realize that there are three different stories about how many times the rooster will crow before Peter denies Jesus? Did you know that the story of the slaughter of the innocent children by Herod, has no historical evidence that it ever happened? Have you ever wondered about the story of the resurrection of dead saints which is supposed to have happened at the resurrection of Jesus, and who these people really were, and why it only received one small mention in the Bible? Wouldnât this type thing have been a huge event? I mean dead people coming alive and testifying, surely would have caused a big stir donât you think? Secondly the verse mentions that the graves opened and the saints arose, when Jesus died, yet the next verse says that they came out of the graves after his resurrection, so did they just lay around for two days? Did you know that there are two different accounts of Jesus entry into Jerusalem, and how many animals he had with him? Did you ever realize that the time given for the census, in Luke, at the time of Jesus birth was the wrong time, and under the wrong ruler?
Does it bother you that there are two different stories about how Judas died? Matthew 27:3-5 When Judas, his betrayer, saw that he was condemned, he repented and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders, saying, "I have sinned in betraying innocent blood." They said, "What is that to us? See to it yourself." And throwing down the pieces of silver in the temple, he departed; and he went and hanged himself. Acts 1:18 Now this man [Judas] bought a field with the reward of his wickedness; and falling headlong he burst open in the middle and all his bowels gushed out. Are we "saved" by faith? Eph. 2:8,9 For by grace are ye saved through faith...not of works. (Rom. 3:20, 28; Gal. 2:16) Or of Works? James 2:24Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. (Matt. 19:16-21) Did you ever wonder, can God be seen ? "And I will take away my hand, and thou shalt see my backparts." (Ex. 33:23) "And the Lord spake to Moses face to face, as a man speaketh to his friend." (Ex. 33:11) "For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." (Gen. 32:30) Or NOT? "No man hath seen God at any time." (John 1:18) "And he said, Thou canst not see my face; for there shall no man see meand live." (Ex. 33:20) "Whom no man hath seen nor can see." (1Tim. 6:16) Have you ever struggled with some of the facts of science which make it hard to adhere to a 6 day creation, or of a relatively young earth, like the hundreds of thousands of years it has taken for the light from the most distant stars to reach us, or the fossil layers in sedimentary rocks under other rocks, under other fossil layers in sedimentary rocks under other rocks, under other fossil layers in sedimentary rocks under other rocks, which would have taken a very, very, very long time for each sedimentary layer to be laid down and turn to rock, and the fact that there are very different species of animals in each layer? It does not seem that it can all be explained by one worldwide flood either, basically because there are so many different layers. Jesus said the Mustard seed is the smallest of all seeds, but does it bother you that he was wrong?:Matthew 13:31-32 NRSV He [Jesus] put before them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in the field; it is the smallest of all seeds..." However it is now known that one type of orchid is much smaller. Did you ever wonder about the scientific correctness of the Bible when there are verses speaking about the four corners of the earth, or the ends of the earth, or of God holding the edges of the earth, or the one which speaks about the locusts âgoing about on all foursâ, or rabbits chewing their cud, or the sun standing still, (which of course it always does), or fowls of the air coming forth from the sea, or unicorns. I have heard the argument that it was written âfour corners of the earthâ, just so that the people of the day could understand it, (since they thought the earth was flat). Excuse me, but couldnât God have informed them that it was round, and surely they knew locusts have six legs, and that rabbits donât chew their cud, unless they have evolved since then? The Earth has pillars? "He shakes the earth from its place and makes its pillars tremble. (From the NIV Bible, Job 9:6)" "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand. (From the NIV Bible, Job 38:4)" The Earth has Edges? "that it might take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it? (From the NIV Bible, Job 38:13)" "He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven and sends it to the ends of the earth. (From the NIV Bible, Job 37:3)" "for he views the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens. (From the NIV Bible, Job 28:24)" "Their measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea. (From the NIV Bible, Job 11:9)" Why didn't God inform the writers that the earth had no edges, or pillars, or ends? Did you ever wonder about a lot of those Old Testament verses which are simply not suitable for reading in Church or Sunday School, such as the ones containing sexual descriptions, or the ones telling people to drink piss, and eat dung, or the ones about a man wounded in the stones shall not enter the congregation of the Lord, nor shall a bastard enter the congregation of the Lord until the tenth generation? Why are they in there, and why did God give other commandments in Deuteronomy that we would not even think about adhering to today, (except for those people who pick the ones they like, and decide we should abide by them)? Some of the commandments we would even have moral or social objections to today. Did you ever wonder why, like I did, that the moral standards of the Old Testament heroes, or writers, are not what our modern day standards would be tolerant of at all? These were not stories about people disobeying Gods rules in the Old Testament, but they seemed, in most cases, to be presented as commandments of God, or in the very least they were not condemned by God. Did you ever wonder why God seemed to never speak against multiple wives, or why slavery was accepted as normal, (the Bible even gave instructions on how to treat slaves), and how to deal with women as your property, even your daughters, or how that God could command whole villages to be killed, men, women, children, animals, and their property destroyed, which we would call genocide today? How about when God commanded men to take their widowed brothers wife, (even if they had one already), or go get a wife of horedoms as he commanded Hosea, yet we would not accept any of these things as our standards or Godâs standards today, nor would they be tolerated by our society. Next, did you ever wonder why a God who is all-powerful, and all knowing, would start the world off with Incest, (if you believe that Cain married his sister, as some tell)? Wouldnât a great and all knowing God plan for the early days of man better than this so that incest and polygamy are not methods of procreation that would have to be resorted to? Did all of this ever cause you toquestion the âunchanging Godâ principle, which also is so entrenched in our thinking? To me these things make it look like God has changed a lot since Old Testament days. In fact there are several verses in the Old Testament where it is stated that God did change his mind, or even repented and was sorry for something he did to mankind. Is God unchanging ? Mal. 3:6. For I am the Lord; I change not. Num. 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent. (Ezek. 24:14; James 1:17) Or Not? Ex. 32:14. And the Lord repented of the evil which he had thought to do unto his people. (Gen. 6:6; Jonah 3:10; Sam. 2:30-31; II Kings 20:1-6; Num. 16:20-35) Even in the flood story it is quoted that God was sorry he even created mankind, and decided to kill everybody and everything and start over with just what Noah could get on the boat. I have to think and ask, why didnât a God who knows everything, and created all, didnât just do it right the first time? Why did an all powerful, all knowing God, have to erase everything and start over? Secondly after seeing what Noahâs son did to him after the flood, I have to wonder why this family was spared too? 35. Is God really a God of Peace, or not? John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. (Luke 2:14; Acts 10:36) Matt. 10:34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth, I came not to send peace, but a sword. (Matt. 10:35-37; Luke 22:36) Can you answer all these questions to your complete satisfaction? We are usually and ultimately provided with this standard answer: "Well, we as finite and fallable beings can't understand the things of God who is perfect ". Is this really acceptable to you, for all of these hard scriptures? What about people for whom all of these troubling scriptures are still a big problem, what should they do? Should we simply keep ignoring them, in order to keep faith that this is really the word of God? Are there other scriptures we should be ignoring as well? Finally, do you want to understand the Bible? Well, guess what, I can help you, I DO have the answer about the bible. I mean I really, get it now. Here is how you can get the enlightenment too: Go back and read the Bible, but this time look at it as a book written, not by God, but by men, who were polygamists, slave owners, adulterous, incestuous, self righteous, and even genocidal men that also viewed women as their personal property to be bought and sold, even their own daughters, and âBAMâ, all of a sudden a light will come on for you! I promise it will. You will see and understand that God didn't write this!!
Indeed, it is imperative that you wean yourselves off of such things, including books, and learn to listen to the Teacher and Guide within you. Here is what I meant by that. There are but two voices in the world. One voice I will call the "ego", the other, the Holy Spirit. The one will lead you farther away from the Father...forever if you let it. The other will lead you back to your Father where you came from. This is the true master Teacher, and each one has this Teacher as part of his mind. If you do not seek it, you will not find it. Seeking men, preachers, masters, rabbi's, books and holy books, you may miss it. The Holy Spirit does not ask questions. It gives answers. You must ask the right questions. Most questions the world asks preclude any viable answer, as the questions asked limit a new perspective, and answer themselves; thus they are not true questions. The Father does not speak directly, nor even teach in this world. He did not create anything that can be perceived. That includes the ground you think you walk on. Thus, it is the Holy Spirit that is the Voice for God for you in this world of illusion, helping you interpret what you see, when you finally realize you are blind. You may think of It as a gift slipped into the pocket of the "Prodigal Son" as he embarked upon his journey. It is embedded in the mind, and in all minds that misperceive that they are separate from God. The ego itself is an illusion, yet seems to have a life of it's own. It knows nothing of the Holy Spirit, and thinks upside down relative to truth. Everyone has always had the true Voice, but believing the ego instead, fall further and further into a trap. At one extreme, "man" can have no clue he has a Teacher "inside", and relies on "outside" sources such as rabbi's and preachers and books. Such things should be aids to be replaced sooner than later by the true Teacher within. Otherwise, the trap reinforced. There will be conflict as long as you do not hear ONLY one voice. Some are completely identified with the ego. Via the ego, for example, the Sons of God think they are bodies. It is this "voice" I referred to when I said, "You must die to yourselves". If you are in a body, you can be sure that at some point you believed the ego more than you believed the Holy Spirit. The body itself is the first clue you are not listening with undivided attention. Therefore, why should you listen to anyone else who is in a body? No one is special. All have the true Voice in equal measure. No one is "filled" with the Holy Spirit any more than any other. Some listen to the Voice more than others, and train themselves to listen even better. So long as one listens to both voices, or listens to the ego thinking it is God's voice, they will be conflicted and will teach conflict and confusion. The question regarding any book, the bible included, is not whether it was inspired, but whether the authors, translators, deciples, and yet more translators...were listening to the true Voice, or to the ego. Finally, are you reading the text with the ego, or allowing the Holy Spirit to translate the text for you? Otherwise, there is not a single word, or any other symbol that can be twisted into temptation. My voice in the world was an example of one who listens the the Holy Spirit with undivided attention. As such, I embodied the Holy Spirit. Yet even my words - the Spirit's words through me - are meant to be aids to help you learn to listen to the Holy Spirit. Failing this, you think you must join an organized religion with large libraries, long traditions, or long beards to hear the Voice of God for you. And in this way you give power away. The Holy Spirit can teach you more in a few minutes than many years in researching books. Why then do you need a rabbi to teach you anything? If not a rabbi, how much less should you call a book a teacher! A book can be compromised. A book can be crucified. A book can contain two voices. Those who benefit most from the Bible scan it for the voices that speak to them. If they are intent on hearing the true Voice, as penned by those intent upon hearing the Voice, then they will benefit. If you are aware that the ego almost overwhelms your entire interpretive ability, especially at first, you will be more careful. When you reach some maturity and trust in the true Voice, you will not fear interpreting ANY book...even if it conflicts with seemingly emphatic statements said to have come from God. The worlds god is the ego, until it learns to listen to the Holy Spirit...the Voice for God for you. The Holy spirit meets your intellect where you are, teaching you by way of comparison, guiding you out of a world of perceptions into the real world. Blessings, Jesus
Excellent! My Father does not even teach, let alone write books in worlds that don't exist. He has nothing to do with the non-existent, let alone the cruelty imagined in such places. Where then do such cruel scenarios arise from? Who writes such books? See my previous post for the Answer. Keep up the good work! Blessings, Jesus
Thank you Jesus for the kind words. I have had the feeling that God sent me to get out the truth. If you approve of my work it must be true.
Salvation is for the mind, and it is attained through peace. This is the only thing that can be saved, and the only way to save it. When you realize the world "out there" is utterly a projection of your own mind, you can begin saving it...your mind, that is. If a teacher identifies with a body, he will be utterly confused about this. Thus, a "man" cannot be saved, for a body is utterly neutral in itself. It is nothing. If anything, it is a projection of the mind. It is merely evidence of a type of thinking. It is merely a symbol of something else. Niether can "ye" be saved, since "ye" are spirit, Created perfect to be perfect forever. "Ye" are "gods". "Ye", united, are the Son of God, and cannot ever be threatened by non-existence or any kind of punishment. "Ye" are innocent! But part of your mind CAN imagine hellish scenarios in which you seem to be very small in a very big world that you have no control over. You can seem to separate this mind into individual packages you call "bodies". You can needlessly flog a body with a sick mind. You can seem to "live" in a world gone mad, apart from your Father in Heaven...and you can seem to be stuck in such a world, "living" and "dying", "living" and "dying" according to sick "laws of nature" that you yourself have made! I mind can seem to nail itself to temporary beliefs in "space" and "time", both of which are illusions. Once again, there is no "out there", it is all INSIDE a very powerful mind, for the mind of the Son is equal in power to the Mind of the Father. It is the mind of the Son that is in need of salvation. A mind can be healed such that it no longer flogs a body. A mind can be saved such that it no longer separates bodies from itself, sending them to dark graves and unknown destinations in the "future". A mind can be healed, such that it abandons worlds of illusion in favor of real worlds. A mind can be healed, such that it returns whole, with the entire Sonship, back to the Father. Thus, we find the Son of God, the only begotten Son, with half a mind to "create" another world in which separation seems possible. Yet it is impossible, and this world is but a "miscreation", an illusion...a dream. Then he is stuck in this world until his mind is healed. Each "body" wandering in this world seems to have a separate mind, thinking it's own thoughts. Yet all are connected in the real world, and all are connected by the Holy Spirit in this world of illusions. With this background, you may now understand the true meaning of John 3:16 which requires a small grammatical correction to speak truth: "For God so loved the world that He gave it to His only begotton Son". Here then is the Son, wandering in an imaginary world of his own, given a vision of a real world of life beyond this false world of death, that whosoever of the Sonship should believe in this vision, he shall not perish but have eternal life. It is the real world that God loves, for only what is real can be truly loved. Whereever we think we are, this is not home. The vision given us, that is of our true Home. The entire Sonship will go Home without exeption. Either we all go, or none of us go, for we are one. The Son will not forever "live" in a world of perishing, but return to the world of the Living, where he came from. Teachers who identify with bodies cannot understand the truth about the Son, even though I was perfectly clear: "Whatsoever you do unto the least of these my bretheren, you do unto me". We are not bodies, but as long as there is an appearance of bodies, we can see our brother instead, and in this way see the Son of God when ALL are seen as one. And who is Christ but the Son of God? Therefore, do not delay, for that is all you can do. Salvation is for the mind, and the day of salvation is today...not tommorrow or yesterday. It is NOW, if you will be healed at all. But you can use time to "work" on it. Start with the following realization... The Son is innocent! When you see the Son as innocent, you see yourself and all those around you - your brother - as innocent. You forgive others because they ARE innocent! This reveals that nothing can harm you without your permission. It means that whenever you percieve you have been attacked, you have given permission to do so. Only a sick mind would do this. Conversely, if you save such a mind and heal it, you can stop giving permission and be perfectly safe. In other words, when you begin to accept responsibility, you begin to regain power. When you accept total responsibility, you regain total power. This is why I had to give power to Pontius Pilatus to attack my body.
Son of God, to identify with the ego is to attack yourself and make yourself poor. But that you appear to be in a body, you have identified with the ego, for the body is a product of the ego. Everyone who identifies with the ego feels deprived. What he experiences then is depression or anger, because what he did was to exchange Self-love for self-hate, making him afraid of himself. He does not realize this. Even if he is fully aware of anxiety he does not percieve its source as his own ego identification and he always tries to handle it by making some sort of insane "arrangement" with the world. He always percieves this world as outside himself, for this is crucial to his adjustment. He does not realize that he makes this world, for there is no world outside of him. If only the loving thoughts of God's Son are the world's reality, the real world must be in his mind. His insane thoughts, too, must be in his mind, but an internal conflict of this magnitude he cannot tolerate. A split mind is endangered, and the recognition that it encompasses completely opposed thoughts within itself is intolerable. Therefore the mind projects the split, not the reality. Now you can understand the cause of the "Big Bang". Everything you percieve as the outside world is merely your attempt to maintain your ego identification, for everyone believes that identification is salvation. Yet, consider what has happened, for thoughts do have consequences to the thinker. You have become at odds with the world as you percieve it, because you think it is antagonistic to you. This is a necessary consequence of what you have done. You have projected outward what is antagonistic to what is inward, and therefore you would have to percieve it this way. That is why you must realize that your hatred is in your mind and not outside it before you can get rid of it; and why you must get rid of it before you can percieve the world as it really is. The world you percieve is a world of separation. The world you made is therefore totally chaotic, governed by arbitrary and senseless "laws", and without meaning of any kind. For it is made out of what you would not want, projected from your mind because you are afraid of it. Yet this world is only in the mind of its maker, along with his real salvation. Do not believe it is outside yourself, for only by recognizing where it is will you gain control over it. For you do have control over you mind, since the mind is the mechanism of decision. If you will recognize that all the attack you percieve is in your own mind and nowhere else, you will at last have placed its source, and where it begins it must end. For in this same place also lies salvation. In your mind there yet stands an alter of truth. Bring all your perceptions of the world to this alter, and there you will see your vision changed, and there you will learn to see truly. From this place, you will look out in peace and behold the world truly. Yet to find the place, you must relenquish your investment in the world as you project it, allowing the Holy Spirit to extend the real world to you from the alter of God. This is what I meant when I said, "Sell all you have and give to the poor and follow me": If you have no investment in anything in the world, you can teach the poor where their treasure is. The poor are merely those who have invested wrongly. And they are poor indeed! Because they are in need, it is given you to help them, since you are among them. Consider how perfectly this lesson would be learned if you were unwilling to share their poverty. For poverty is lack, and there is but one lack since there is but one need. You have invested in death, and so I say: Sell off this investment and help others do the same. Until you recognize the need, you will be set on a journey either to seek and find, or seek and NOT find, depending on where you "invest". You will undertake a journey because you are not at home in this world. And you will search for your home whether you realize it or not. If you believe it is outside you the search will be futile, for you will be seeking it where it is not. You do not remember how to look within because you do not believe your home is there. You have been given eternal life, ever "before" I "came" to tell you about it. Because you do not know who you are, you think you never had it, or cannot obtain it without price. You pay no price for life for that was given you, but you do pay a price for death, and a very heavy one. If death is your treasure, you will sell everything else to purchase it. And you will believe you have purchased it, because you have sold everything else. Yet you cannot sell the Kingdom of Heaven. Your inheritance can neither be bought nor sold. There can be no dinsinherited parts of the Sonship, for God is whole and all His extentions are like Him. What you seem to have "sold" has been kept for you, since you could not "buy" it back. Thus, your at-one-ment with the Father has not ever been sold. This at-one-ment sets upon an alter of truth inside your mind. It is yours. Yet you must invest in it, not with money, but with spirit. For spirit is will, and will is the "price" of the Kingdom. Your inheritance awaits only the recognition that you have been redeemed, not by sacrifice, but by mercy. Essentially, you are overcoming the original split in the mind of the Son when you accept the at-one-ment for yourself. In this way you overcome the "world" the split mind made. At this point you have much to overcome, are "insane", and cannot be your own guide. The Holy Spirit will guide you through the labyrinth. The Holy Spirit guides you into life eternal, but you must relinquish your investment in death. Behold the Guide your Father gave you, that you might learn you have eternal life. This is the Holy Spirit, the master Teacher. He will guide you to your home because that is His mission. As He fulfills His mission He will teach you yours, for your mission is the same as His. By guiding your brothers home you are but following Him. Relenquish and surrender your investment in death, or you will not see life though it is all around you. You have learning handicaps in a very literal sense. There are areas in your learning skills that are so impaired that you can progress only under constant, clear-cut direction, provided by a Teacher Who can transcend your limited resources. He becomes your Resource because of yourself you cannot learn. The learning situation in which you placed yourself is impossible, and in this situation you clearly require a special Teacher and a special curriculum. Resign now as your own teacher. This is what I meant when I said you must become as little children. Little children know that they do not know, and are therefore easy to teach. You do not know the meaning of love, and that is your handicap. Only love is strong because it is undivided. The Holy Spirits love is your strenth, for yours is divided and therefore not real. You cannot trust your own love when you attack it. You cannot learn of perfect love with a split mind, because a split mind has made itself a poor learner. You wanted to make the separation eternal, because you wanted to retain the characteristics of creation, but with your own content. Yet creation is not of you, and poor learners do need special teaching. If you resign now as your own teacher, it will not lead to depression. It would just be an honest appraisal of what you have taught yourself, and of the learning outcomes that have resulted. Under the proper learning conditions, which you can neither provide nor understand, you will become an excellent learner and excellent teacher. But it is not so yet, and will not be so until the whole learning situation as you have set it up is reversed. Your learning potential, properly understood, is limitless because it will lead you to God. You can teach the way to Him and learn it, if you follow the Teacher Who knows the way to Him and understands His curriculum for learning it. The curriculum is totally unambiguous, because the goal is not divided and the means and the end are in complete accord. You need offer only undivided attention. Everything else will be given you. For you really want to learn aright, and nothing can oppose the decision of God's Son. His learning is as unlimited as he is. To heal an amputee, you must know who you are, and who is symbolized by the amputee. You must also know how to listen, and how to ask. Blessings, Jesus
