Why won't gay people accept democracy ?

  1. Look, every time you have a sexual urge that means you want to create a baby?

    Come on, be honest...

What if the birth defect is severe enough to not allow the child to reach the age of consent? Do we ignore the marriage laws to make exceptions for terminally ill children? These questions aren't as black and white as you pose them.

AS jem pointed out, gays already have full civil rights in California. We have openly gay Congress members from here and from other states. In what way is not extending the heterosexual institution of marriage to them treating them like minorities during the Jim Crow era?

Yes, if your a good Catholic.

Humans are one of very few animals who have sex for pleasure only. Most of nature is set up with a breeding season triggered by the female going into heat. Usually in fall / winter so that the newborns in spring have the best chance for survival.

  4. I agree with age of consent, which is essentially mental capacity.

Say there was a church that believed that homosexuality was not a sin in California.

Would it be constitutional to deny that church to sanction marriage of gays?

Is this really a legal issue? Or is it an issue of a majority issue dominating a minority religion?

By the way, there were many churches that were fighting Prop 8 out here.

  5. So, only good Catholics have a sexual urge only to procreate?

Other animals have sex for pleasure, many many more than you think.

Perhaps without the drive for pleasure that comes from sex, the species would end.

So the drive is for pleasure, not for perpetuation of the species.

Research shows that, on average, children do best when raised by their biological parents in a low-conflict marriage.

  7. Okay, in an ideal world...

Now, let's compare the data of reality, i.e. divorce, abuse, poverty, adultery, conflict etc. vs. a stable family of homosexual parents.

    Get the point yet?

The article makes no comparison of the less than ideal reality of America today vs. long term studies of children brought up by stable, loving, well educated, conflict free, financially stable gay parents.

  8. There is one more thing I disapprove of even more than Gay Marriage and that is Gay adoption.
Gays can't produce children of their own, so they should live their hedonistic decadent lives and leave children alone.

Abnormal is not a substitute for bad.
There are plenty of heterosexual couples looking desperately to adopt, they should be given ABSOLUTE priority. If not then single women, then single men then senior citizens and in the last resort just before terrorists, gays.

  9. Hard to have a rational discussion with a homophobe, as I have no way of arguing with someone who is so irrational.

  10. I'm not irrational. Which part of my post indicates that ? I believe heterosexual single parent families are the least worst environment for raising a good kid. They're imperfect, incomplete but no abnormal. Gay "couples" ARE abnormal.
You can call me whatever you want, I see "Homosexuality" as a perversion, if you have any proof to the contrary, post it.
    homosexuality is a choice.
