For a lot of people, they are getting 1000/week for doing nothing (600 is federal, they also get state unemployment).

I know for a fact that that is more than some people on this thread are earning trading.

The whole Covid stimulus is obscene. It’s a world where losing wins more than winning.

It's kind of the same thing with the PPP funds. I didn't take them because we didn't need them. When the list of those who did take them came out I was pretty appalled at the people I know who did take them who I know full well didn't need them at all. And this whole bullshit crying about how companies wouldn't be able to deduct the payroll they paid using free PPP funds from the government (effectively making the PPP not only free money but tax free money) so they were going to get a big tax bill. Seriously? You only pay taxes when you turn a profit. So by definition, if you're one of the people crying you were profitable in 2020 and not being able to deduct your payroll wouldn't have made you unprofitable. PPP was a program that was supposed to keep vulnerable businesses from going under, and these selfish jackasses are crying that we as taxpayers weren't giving them their profit for the year!

Javonka (well actually just the Jared part) got PPP funds. Anyone "outraged" much over that?

I didn’t think that companies who had officers who were government officials were allowed to get ppp funds. There’s an attestation on the form.

So now we have many are home partying collecting about $4,500 per month + the stimulus checks while recruiters can't fill jobs that pay under $60k.

And now they are talking about ratcheting up the stimulus way up.

To be accurate, businesses that rented space in properties Kushner owned received loans. He had no ownership interest or control of those companies. To be honest, that whole thing is a Vanity Fair hit piece that is an embarrassment to the left. Its pretty unreasonable to demand that companies who rent office space in a Trump owned building not avail themselves of government programs and Kushner would have been legally unable to compel his tenants with existing leases to not apply for PPP funding even if he wanted to.

There are literally hundreds of egregious examples of Trump and his family unethically using the office of the Presidency to enrich themselves and their family members as well as engaging in rampant nepotism. Making up things just diminishes our ability to highlight those very real examples of corruption and graft that made up much of the Trump administration. So please, just stop.

So be it but why did the media have to sue to get details released? Which included among the 25 Trump/Kushner property tenants 15 "businesses" having 1 or none or none declared employees.

Speculation on my part of course, but maybe it points to the quality of "businesses" they attract. Still I stand corrected, they did a good job of not getting caught with their hands in the cookie jar this time.
