Raising the age to 21 for people with no criminal or mental health history is unconstitutional. And yes, I know that Florida has passed legislation in order to do the knee jerk response that politicians have to do to survive there now, but the courts will deal with it later. You are participating in the lefty kabucki dance that tries to assure everyone that no one is trying to repeal the 2nd and it would never happen anyway, and then you proceed to outline actions that are violation of the 2nd. We get it. You dont have votes to repeal it so you are going to try to do it piecemeal.
Refer to the 2nd Amendment for reference. For more detailed information, refer to the briefs being filed based on the florida legislation. Not going to do your homework for you- especially on an issue that is obvious.
Have your fun while it is not before the court. Just like your ilk did before the court ruled in favor of gun rights in DC Heller and Chicago McDonald. Probably by the time half these cases reach the Supreme Court, Trump will have appointed yet another justice- or more. You think that will help you? Think again. Also, your ilk should have a little meeting to get your shtick story together. You say that the "nra will lose as always" all while your comrades are all running around sweaty and histrionic foaming at the mouth about how the nra allegedly controls absolutely everything. Might want to tidy that rap up a bit before taking it out on the road.
People starting to figure it out. Arm yourselves, everywhere, even in the most unlikely of places. Thug walks in to church thinking it's an easy target, finds out otherwise. See lefties, this is how you actually create a safe space. CHICAGO — An investigation is underway after an attempted armed robbery suspect is shot overnight by a church security guard. It happened just after 8 p.m. Wednesday near a church on the 4400 block of West Maypole in West Garfield Park. Police said a 27-year-old gunman burst into the Maypole Avenue Church of Christ and announced a robbery. He was immediately confronted by a 57-year-old security guard, who is a concealed carry card holder. The two exchanged gunfire, ending with the offender critically injured with multiple gunshots to the chest. He remains in critical condition at Stroger Hospital. http://wgntv.com/2018/03/28/2-shot-during-attempted-robbery-in-west-garfield-park/
If somehow the miracle of passing an amendment banning guns occurred, I think you'd be in for a real possibility of armed conflict. LEOs around the country would not want to enforce such a law, for reasons of their own personal safety, or because they would never support it. Further, there is no national list of firearms, so there's no way to know who does and does not have a firearm. Short of house to house searches, I don't know how you figure that out. People would likely turn in their firearms, but they'd be in the vast minority. I wouldn't turn mine in. I don't care what psycho babble you use on me regarding peace and love and unicorns - if I know bad guys are keeping their guns, you can rest assured I'm keeping mine to protect my family.
As you're missing the point entirely, I have to presume you are young. The PRIMARY reason for the 2nd Amendment is a deterrent against oppressive government... our own included. More "guns on the street" won't impact that. Our Leftist government wants to disarm us. If they can do so, they are free to commit any atrocity without fear of reprisal. Our Founders understood this and gave us 2A. (Some claim our Revolutionary War was actually started because the British tried to confiscate all of the colonists' guns.) As things stand, the government doesn't want to go against the 300 million guns in the hands of American citizens. Yeah, sure... in the event of decree some will kneel down and surrender their guns. Some of us will not! "When citizens fear government, there is tyranny. When government fears the citizenry, there is freedom." Let that soak in.
