Why we need to get Iran

Discussion in 'Politics' started by americanhero, Feb 4, 2012.

  1. 1) Iran wants to destroy Israel, our best friend
    2) Iran is creating instability in newly liberated Iraq
    3) Iran wants to hurt Saudi Arabia, our oil ally
    4) Iran is making nukes to launch an attack on the U S of A

For these reasons, we need to put together a coalition of the willing, toi bring the Iranian enemy to its knees. Once we have caught the leadership, we should try and hang them for crimes against humanity like with Saddam. Some leaders are likely to die in air raids, like we did in Libya with Gaddafi.

Iranian oil should be privatized and sold off to American and allied oil companies at cut prices, as a reward for us liberating Iran.

  3. 1. It seems we are putting Israel in to fight their own war. If need be, we will support them.

    2. Iraq has home-grown tribal instability of it's own. Iran doesn't need to help.

    3. Not so much with Saudi Arabia.

    4. Maybe, maybe not. Turn the channel, and remember the WMD scare and what that did for us.

I agree that we will support Israel, some are for that, some not so much. But to be too aggressive at this point, IMO is just wrong.

  9. There are several ways in which Iran could use nuclear weapons. The first is by dropping an atomic bomb on Israel, as its leaders have repeatedly threatened to do. Hashemi Rafsanjani, a former president of Iran, boasted in 2004 that an Iranian attack would kill as many as five million Jews. Mr. Rafsanjani estimated that even if Israel retaliated with its own nuclear bombs, Iran would probably lose about 15 million people, which he said would be a small "sacrifice" of the billion Muslims in the world.

The second way in which Iran could use nuclear weapons would be to hand them off to its surrogates, Hezbollah or Hamas. A third way would be for a terrorist group, such as al Qaeda, to get its hands on Iranian nuclear material. It could do so with the consent of Iran or by working with rogue elements within the Iranian regime.

Finally, Iran could use its nuclear weapons without ever detonating a bomb. By constantly threatening Israel with nuclear annihilation, it could engender so much fear among Israelis as to incite mass immigration, a brain drain, or a significant decline in people moving to Israel.

whew, thanks, I've been worrying about that... Those Iranians are just jealous of the Jews, they can look over there and see people working hard, not having to worry about what the tribal leaders think, building a country, etc... I suppose it bothers them, maybe there is a pill for that?
