Why they called it "thinkorswim"?
a play on the term "sink or swim"
A clever parody by somebody with a lisp.
Good question. Presumably, the name is borrowed from the idiom, "Sink or swim."
However, it seems to have been derived back asswards. Sink or swim means to either fail (sink) or succeed (swim). Therefore, the company name appears to equate thinking with sinking (failing).
Separate names with a comma.
