Why there's no 1000 strike for SPX options?

Seems strange to me that there are no SPX options available at 1000 strike. Anyone with insight?

 

There are 1000 strikes for them. Most chart packages get the symbology screwed up - QCharts for one.

Select Friday's date (21st) and check out PG47 thru PG50 to see the settlements right from the CME.

Options on the S&P 500 futures trade at the CME.

SPX options (options based on the cash) trade on the CBOE and indeed do skip the 1000 strike - I have no idea why. Instead there are strikes at 995 and 1005.
