Why the early morning rally

I understand the supply/demand aspects of the market, but can someone explain to me the big NASDAQ rally this morning.

World markets down, premarket futures pointing down, earnings looking grim...

Hey, let's buy! A perfect time for a rally!

Shut up...

Must be a short covering thing.

 

Did you just get home from the bars or something?

 

What supply/demand?

Why the initial big downtick just before the rally?

 

I sense this thread is going to chit chat.

 

Noobs wonder why this or why that, all pro's care about is reading the market fast enough to profit from the movement.

Up/Down, who gives a rats ass why, let's make money!

 

The QQQQ is surging because tech typically leads bull markets. It has the most global exposure and stocks like AAPL , AMZN, RIMM, GOOG, BIDU are insulated from recession.

 

if you haven't noticed we are in a range, market bottomed this morning, we are moving to the top of our range now.

 

We are at support and we have some early buyers, buy buy buy.
