I never claimed there was any such evidence of the characters being real or not. I just pointed out to Pie that the writings within have long been attributed to people, and for probably as long as the writings have been in existence. You can choose to believe the characters within are fictional. You can also choose to believe that slavery in America was a fictional account as well. That's up to you to decide and I doubt anyone one person or account will persuade you either way. Conclusions are best drawn after taking the entire account in to full and open minded consideration. To be more ignorant than knowledgeable about a subject isn't proper qualifications for making judgment. Fart Sniffer
Your mistake is in assuming the entire account hasn't been taken in to full and open minded consideration. Often when someone hasn't done so, they'll start concluding the Bible and its characters compare as real alongside actual events like slavery. Takes one to know one.
Not a fact, you've shown nothing of the kind. You've shown a million times, a physicist who has already previously dismissed fine tuning by way of a fine tuner. A religious explanation is not a scientific one. That's the fact.
Susskind has not dismissed the fine tunings since he realized the implications of Weinberg prediction and discover that the cosmological constant is tuned to 120 decimal places. you are completely lying your ass off when you say he dismisses them. it is disgusting you lie about science to support you 1950s world view. q... leonard what is about the fine tunings... is the first fricken question... answer... explaining the fine tuning---... then at the end of the first answer "if the laws were a little different we would not exist." <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/2cT4zZIHR3s?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I have assumed nothing other than your lack of attention, which you have shown us with your comparison of Bible stories to Harry Potter. It was off topic, and unneeded, and only serves to expose your settled beliefs on the subject of biblical characters. Although if you feel it necessary to go there, I will say : There's quite a bit of compelling evidence to suggest there is valid historic content within the Bible's writings. We also know for a fact that the Harry Potter character you have referred us to is of pure fiction. Garfield would have been a better comparison as Jim Davis at least attributes his childhood pet as inspiration for his stories about a fat and lazy cat. When I said that the entire account needs to be taken in with open minded consideration, It was a rhetorical statement meant for anyone in general who might be reading. So, therefor you can see that I have not assumed your ignorance in the situation. It was more referring to Pie's ignorance, which you chose to defend with a pointless comparison of biblical characters, and grouping them with those in a kid's book.
Now you've shown a million and one times the video of a physicist who has already previously dismissed fine tuning by way of a fine tuner.
So for all that, you are basically saying , contrary to what christians generally claim, the Bible is not the word of a God but rather writings attributed to people. You are essentially agreeing with piezoe, its authorship is a work of man . Did you mean to do that?
Stu only an ignorant troll like you could view this video and say susskind dismissed the tuning of the cosmological constant. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/2cT4zZIHR3s?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Only an ignorant troll like you could post a vid a million times and then not have the intellect to read the written word properly. That must be why you like moving talky pictures so much. ...a physicist who has already previously dismissed fine tuning by way of a fine tuner. It's straight forward enough.
