Why should I suffer for making all the right decisions?

  1. It does seem to me to be "wrong" in a philosophical and logical sense to declare that simply by being alive one is "entitled" to something.

I think the entire premise that anyone is entitled to anything is metaphysically incorrect. In fact, I take it as axiomatic that no one is entitled to anything and no amount of argumentation could possibly convince me otherwise at this point. I've heard every argument under the sun, twice, and none of them were persuasive on this point.

We're social animals, our young are not viable for a lengthy period of time. What do you call the valid claim the young have on adults?

  3. Who says the young have valid claims on adults.

But of course per usual you go for the opposite of reality.
The problem with our social contract is not that adults are not supporting the young just because they were born .

The young just because they were born are obligated to become indentured servants of the adults since adults control the political process and have been partying like it's 1999 spending money they expect the next generation to pay.

The combination of class welfare and inter-generational welfare is unsustainable.

  4. Let's be clear... it's the POLITICIANS who promoted this idea and who spend like drunken sailors while obligating younger generations for the tab. You want be mad at somebody, be mad at the politicians.

The only ones to "make out" on our great social experiment is the generation before the boomers... as in any ponzi scheme.

  6. People... even in America... would not think they were entitled to ANYTHING, let alone demand it... unless some greedy, scumbag politico suggested it..

How do you think Socialism in America got started? Some greedy bastard politician spread the story.. "America is a rich country... but you're not rich... it's not fair that so-and-so has a big house, fancy car, etc., and you don't. Vote for me and I'll take some of his money away and give it to you"... and the hoi polloi said, "I'm down wid dat"!

Prior, people thought (and rightfully so) that they had to WORK if they planned on eating regularly.

  8. Can you disclose one society worth living in that doesn’t do THAT? I’m all ears.

What the Leftists and parasites really want is for success to be "granted". That's what's really fair... "social justice", isn't it?
This maybe true for some leftists, but most of us are probably in the middle between the extreme right and left. I wonder, Where are you on the spectrum?

When you refers to others as parasites, who are you really talking about? The ones who don’t conquer and divide, and who actually learn to share? Or the ones who may have disabilities to the extent that you may not be able to empathize? The only people I can think of that might fit this parasitic description are the ones who latch their suckers onto an easy money train, and may not work as hard as many others who bust their humps for minimum wage. This describes many on both the left and the right extremes.

    Dear Rationalize,

I agree 100%. But some give and others take, so we have to distinguish between the actions.

    Dear logic_man

Control is divided- Some has been taken by parents, or God if you believe in such. Some is granted to the individual, while some will always be taken by the society of the individual. Probably more like thirds, rather than 7 billionths.

If groups of people want to get together and give up their control over their destinies, they are free to do so. I believe such groups are called cults or communes. No one is stopping anyone from joining one. But, if you look at their histories, you will see that they tend not to last long. Why do you think that is? It's because they are incapable of dealing with change.
I hate to break this to you, but you were born into and you are currently living in a commune/cult. Some call it a democracy, others a republic, while others have tried to call it a federation, and union. “love it or leave it” I believe is how the saying goes about this here commune.

The greatest revolution in human thinking of all time is the "idea" of the individual. For hundreds of thousands of years, homo sapiens existed, but this idea did not. During those hundreds of thousands of years, there was less progress than there has been in the last 300 years since the emergence of this idea with Descartes.
Are you really trying to tell us that you are sharp on the history of the past 300 thousand years of human social psychology? Do you realize you may actually have an audience that wants to hear what you have to say?

Enjoy your life as an ant, just don't try to drag me down to the same level.
I didn’t mean to bring you down to such a lowly conversation. My apologies sire.

On a side note, I do find it interesting how many on here are terrified that the “ants” are taking over.
Some reading this forum may even extinguish us "ants" if allowed, but the fear of execution makes them threaten to just pick up and move to some Utopian country out in the ocean.

That’s just what I am doing. It is a free commune and you should be able to speak your point of view. ;)

I believe when the republican party called themselves the Federation, they had many of the same ideals that you hold onto. You’ll probably just have to be content with moving to some Utopian island out in the ocean with what’s his name from Westgate tech.

    Dear sle,

    See above reply

    Dear Braksir,

With all due respect, most of us need human beings to help us with our hardships and endeavors. We can’t relate to supreme super beings…. it's still funny though -jus sayin :D

  10. Dear Ricter,

This a very good question that many won't consider.

Some could never admit it, or even realize it, but the vast majority of us are leftists until we are 18, or graduate college.
