Why not put term limits in congress?

  1. is it now? what about obamacare which you fully support, is that all about letting people choose what they want? Also this is completely different, there is a reason why the Pres has term limits, and that same reasoning can be applied to Congress. They are not a ruling class.

  2. 6 months ago the people had the choice to get rid of Obamacare by voting out Obama and giving the Senate to The GOP

  4. except the vote wasn't on solely based obamacare, it was for candidates who have differing views on a wide range of issues. My point was obamacare ITSELF is un American according to your last post, yet YOU support it.

  5. We rarely have the ability to vote on issues directly,we have always had the right to vote for the people we want to represent us.

Then you don't understand the incredible advantage an incumbent Congressman or Senator has over his opponent. That's how so many of them remain in their seats for decades.

  9. you missed the point, and there is nothing anti-American about desiring term limits for our leaders. They aren't nobility and they are not a ruling class, when they make different laws for us than themselves it is evidence that is what they are becoming. We are all supposed to be equal under law, that includes Congress.

  10. I think it is.While the founders voluntarily stepped down they didn't say that they had to and the 22nd wasn't passed until the 1940's.Its a good thing for you guys though as Obama would be another 4 term democratic President
