Why No Tea Bag Parties When Bush Caused This Mess?

Discussion in 'Politics' started by dsq, Apr 16, 2009.

  1. Money is a big issues especially when the government wastes my money. Even worse is that I have no say in how it is spent. Worst of all is that they spend and waste my money on programs and organizations that reduce my personal freedom, trample the US Constitution, and destroy principles of personal responsibility, hard work, education, and free markets.

So you are right, it does come down to money. Some of us are tired of the government taking an unjust share of what we work for to support their continuous growth and power grab.

  4. Remorse for what? People who thought Obama was going to part seas create wine out of water were going to be disappointed.

Given the choice between McCain/Palin vs Obama/Biden I would vote for obama again because I voted for him for the right reasons: I wanted a departure from a belligerent warmongering foreign policy. Thus far I am happy.

  5. Good for you. All I can hope for is he has enough sense as Clinton and back off on some of his wild social ideas and become more centrist because he is pissing off a lot of folks. Lets hope he is a quick learner.

  6. excellent disertation Brandon.

Some people never question what hte Reps do,
Some people never question what the Dems do,
Some people are finally waking up and realizing there ain't a hill of beans between the two and it took Bush and Bama to wake them up.

My guess is your not listening..I'll try again though.

First of all Obama has not actually lowered the real cost of government for most people.

The average American Family is getting a $13 and some odd cent per week tax "break" or cut or whatever you want to call it under Obama.
However, that same "average American family" is seeing increases of about $19 per week in other fee's, sin tax etc. So Obama can point to the hand that everyone looks at, and that is where they will look because God forbid we ask someone to think..but when you look at the real numbers the average American family is not saving anything.

The biggest point you miss though is that this protest did occur on April 15th only because of that days symbolic value. The reality is that this is not about taxes, higher or lower, this is about the amount of control the government is gaining over our lives.

  8. And if that control continues on the path unabated it will eventually affect everyone on the right .......... and the left.

  9. I was going to go to a tea party with my "legalize marijuana" sign but I guess it was not my kind of party... I don't even want to smoke dope, I just want my fourth amendment back, and while we are at it, the judicial under control of the white house is out of control also... Hello.... Obama?

I can't believe that someone would make the argument that we have no right to protest a byzantine and unconstitutional government just because of a wee tax cut.
