Very interesting twist of phrase or bible. But you got it reversed. You are missing the very point of why Jesus had a problem with the Pharisees. Jesus was upset that these men would put their own man made rules in between God's people and God's word. They substituted their legalisms for the bible. Apparently the pharisees started or were major contributors to the creation of Talmud. My understanding is that Jews today are far more likely to read the Talmud then the Bible. (I learned this from a bible only Jew from Israel. So I can not say this is a fact, but I am pretty sure it is good info.) So you have it precisely reversed. Jesus was ticked at the Pharisees because their Man made laws were being substituted for bible reading. The point of the bible is that God wanted the world to know he is the one true God and you can know him because of the promises he made and kept. Particularly the one he made to Abraham. You got it reversed. Which is consistent with your message. You are teaching the reverse message of Jesus and God. It is thus - if you are saying the bible is wrong then it is either the bible is doing the devils work or you are.
I reinterpreted the bible far more than they did...to such an extent that they did not recognize me, though they had many scripts considered to be the truth. Biblical scholars were in the habit of rejecting truth, not accepting it. They were just as well-versed in their bible as their biblical interpretations. I taught things that no eye had ever seen, nor ear had ever heard, such as, "The Kingdom of God is within you". This is not in Hebrew scriptures at all. I made meaningless their attempts to appeal to Abraham as an authority, or as a father. I made meaningless their attempts to appeal to Abraham's god as an authority, telling them instead that they were "son's of the devil". But like those lawyers, you are defending well against the truth, but with not much success so far. Don't you have a better defense than to make me a son of a book, and the bible my Father's only begotten book? He doesn't need that kind of publicity, nor does His Kingdom. Jesus
God is everywhere. It is Infinity, transcends to everything and everywhere. It is unspeakable and unthinkable as our mind cannot comprehend the infinite and transcendental to do its justice. All the word religions speak of the same God. It is useless to argue its name or try to "find" it as it is everywhere. Namaste.
"God may be subtle, but he is not malicious" - Albert Einstein. To me the most perplexing issue with a biblical God is hinted by the above quote. That is, why is God a silent God? To me, by definition, it means that God may have been part of creation, but he is not part of our lives after that. nitro
Because you can't hear God makes Him silent? You can't even hear the high frequency sounds your dog can hear...
That is a good point. However, we have instruments that can hear what a dog hears, sort of. We still use dog noses to diagnose certain types of cancer because no man-made instrument even comes close to the sensitivity of a dogs nose. It is interesting that in the (Christian) bible, it says that if God came to visit earth it would be as a whale. But I agree that we (I) do not hear the true word of God, yet. nitro
nitro, don't fall for Z's horsemanure read his last reply again.. he says god exists because of a LACK of evidence of his existence LOL c'mon nitro, you are smarter than to fall for this .. he is claiming an INFINITE being. my god man make him earn it!
"he says god exists because of a LACK of evidence of his existence" I said God exists because of a lack of evidence of His existence? You are inibriated again LongShot...
you imply god exists despite our immediate physical sense to the contrary as does the dog whistle. but you know of a "dog whistle".. why? did you just conjure it? no, you didn't. a dog whistle has been "weighed and measured" by our limited tools. Science! is your god willing to subject itself to the same standard?
