Why no bible books between 450BC and 60AD?

  1. Let's see. Much of science is in infancy and they're little more than faith. So then why are you bragging about your BS? Don't you feel rather foolish?

If someone claims that he is a blackbelt in martial art and then tells you that martial art is all show and is no use in real fighting, would you believe him?

puh. that is too big a shoe for me. i am not there by far
but just from my little experience i can grant you that
the whole thing is definitely no hoax, no wishful thinking,
and actually has little to do with "belief". when you hear
that sound and it gets real loud you simply can't deny
it. and with your breath coming to rest you feel a
sensation on top your head or between the point between
the eyes and the top of your head. and you really feel
it. again, no wishful thinking. real feeling.

and along with these comes a feeling of rest, happiness,
awakefulness, however you want to call it. a small
thing that puts not a big grin but a little smile on
your face. and the whole thing can really build up from
day to day. and sometimes i experienced something
quite unique: the feeling that i am doing the exact
right thing in this very moment. not doing it too late
or too early or too little or too intense, just right. and
this feeling comes along with sensation of immense
power and trust. very, very amazing.

the highest state of yogic meditation is called nirvikalpa
samadhi and only few people ever reached it. this
state leaves the seeker without pulse and without
breath. the guru of my guru had reached this state.
he often entered nirvikalpa samadhi, sometimes
leaving a worrying little crowd behind, until he "came
back" quite many minutes later. though admittedly i
have not witnessed it myself. but among the people
it was well know fact for the medical doctors as well.

i just tell you this, because you asked about the highest
state. well, i guess that is it. experiencing complete
unity with god, the self, however you want to call it,
    at will.

  4. These are intermediate, a means to an end. They show just how close we really are to our original state, which is a state of bliss. They show that the body is subject to the mind.

Where man gets stuck is he likes to go back and forth, maintaining the body as an outpicturing of the mind. But that is not our original state.

Nevertheless, meditation that takes you inward deeper and deeper brings you closer to the original state. Each time you surface to body awareness, you bring more internal awareness with you, allowing you to gradually transcend body, form, time.

The idea is to gradually let the body go because as Buddha said, "Form is emptiness, and emptiness is form"....and release attachment to all form by valuing it all the same: empty.

  7. A) No one is bragging on his education. You missed the point.

    B) You have similar faith in science and skepticism when it is apparent you are little more than a duffer and they are still embryonic disciplines from a truly universal scale. That was the point, but you continue to miss the point.

    C) Having faith in the infinite is not at all incompatible with science. Do you think Albert Einstein is an atheist? Most of the 18th and 19th century European and American inventors and scientists were serious believers. Many of the current scientists are religious. But again, you continue to miss the point.
    -------
You are as you said; a skeptic. You are dazzled by your own self-perceived knowledge that you are right in spite of any competing points of view. Push a button, and out will pop a posting from you of a URL to something you likely did not really even study yourself. If this doesn't work, out comes a few insultives. But there is little depth between these that seems to originate from you. Have it your way.

It is obvious you are unmoved by anything that disagrees with your instinct to do this. Try tipping your head and letting the hot sand run to the other side. By then, I plan to go elsewhere. I don't plan to have a contest to see who can yell the loudest.

  10. acronym, good news! I'm on your side! I've got your back!

It's true. I am the underground. It's like guerilla warfare except I never attack anything. Sometimes, I even surrender. I have an advantage because I don't think the enemy is real. So I don't really have enemies. That helps considerably. Saves me the trouble of packing arms...or legs for that matter.

Yes, I must be some kind of commie. I am for sharing power equally among the godhead. I am for everyone having everything equally and as one. Why not? Aren't you in favor of abundance?

This is not possible in bodies, so are they worth fighting for?
