Go to any prop daytrading floor. You will see all types of traders. There will be a few who make $20,000 plus before lunch. There will be the ones who try to make their $1000-$2000 in a day, and there will be losers, beginners, and crybabys. I have no doubt there are liars on this board but make no mistake many of the large numbers that traders put up are real. It's no coincidence that their best days happpen during these times of high volatility.

  4. <i>"Funny, that seems to have painted you well. Since all you do is generally post based on your own testimony, you can be easily dismissed. You have zero clue how I perform, and I don't trade using divining rods, as you appear to do. Based on your recent posts, it looks like you are entranced by witchcraft..."</i>

Hell rcan, the entire board here dismissed you many months ago. If it wasn't your ceaseless, "TA doesn't work" b.s. that did it, I'd say the true colors shone when you went Brittany Spears in this thread:

<i>... Futures trading is a delusional fantasy, wrapped in schizophrenic megalomania, and propelled by a mixture of self-deception and public drunkenness using funhouse mirrors as your compass...</i> http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1744621#post1744621

In a thread about liars, what's your version of the truth? Futures trading is a delusional fantasy for you, by your very own words. Now you imply success as a futures trader? We're all confused here... how is that possible?

  5. Here is the bottom line, if they are flexing their muscles with a p&l and then trying to sell you something IMO its bait. Money attracts and they are trying to build a business. Be smart the old saying believe none of what you hear and half of what you see. If they are just a trader and boosting their ego then they are only fooling themself, to put high expectations on yourself is real foolish. Lies breed lies but this is a chat forum keep that in mind

OK, let's go with the idea that no one makes money trading, it's a total waste of time, all of us are better off doing something else right now because failure is inevitable.

Ya got me... I bit. Now can I ask all of the naysayers a question? Why the hell are we even here in the first place? More directly, why are YOU here?

If trading, TA, etc is pure folly, how stupid are you to keep coming into this forum to make 100s or 1,000s of posts about nothing? What drives you to haunt a forum about trading and traders when you fully believe it's all folly? If you have nothing of value to share, why malinger onward and pollute the airwaves?

Now that, my friends, is the absolute epitome of narcissism.

C'mon kitty, trading is really easy and I make a lot of money!! Oops, that's two lies in one, sorry about the double-up.

It reminds me of the 3 great cowboy lies 1) That pickup truck is paid for 2) I won this big belt buckle in a rodeo 3) I was just helping those sheep through the fence.....

and regarding con games, ones where the mark is conned into thinking they are going to GET some money are the best ones to get money from the mark(s)...

  10. Yep.

PS. Is 5% not a bit too high? Should it not be 1 - 3%? Seem to remember having read that about 5% make the 5 year. So longer term would be a lot lower. Tnx.
