Why most of us should probably vote third party

Discussion in 'Politics' started by RCG Trader, Oct 29, 2012.

  1. Well Mav, this stated out as a discussion about liberty. Some folks have more liberty than others, in spite of the edict that all men are created equal. We are trying to move towards that, not away from it. The realities of the global government notwithstanding.

  2. Wrong. Federal law trumps all, and originally fed law allowed for slavery and women weren't allowed to vote. That has all been corrected, like Mav said the goal is equal rights for ALL, that means everyone has the same exact Constitutionally granted rights, nothing less, nothing more. The fed govt does need to be able to enforce it's laws but that has absolutely nothing to do with special interests. Also the fed govt is supposed to be limited by the Constitution, they have no business being involved in welfare, entitlements, private business etc.. none at all. By right, States should be deciding these things for themselves. The feds can't make people not racist or sexist or unbiased in all ways because aside from the FACT it's impossible, it more importantly deprives us of the freedom that they exist, and ONLY exist, to protect. It is extremely disingenuous to say our govt is just trying to get it the way it was intended, when it is impossible to miss that they are doing things that are explicitly forbidden by the Constitution.

Wow! Are you confused. We have been a country of conservative values and capialism. You would have us be a socialist or communist country under what religion? Islam? Not likely that will work out.

What you want is an unworkable society with an totalitarian government. You are not about equal opportunity. You are about redistribution of wealth. You see success as something evil to be reigned in and eliminated. You haven't learned anything from history.

  4. Wrong again. Conservatism is not just a social movement. It is an adjective more than anything else. How many times can we go over the same shit? Conservatives seek to maintain the status quo, that is the best way to sum it up. So a conservative taliban is not the same as a conservative American.

How can one have liberty if one is enslaved? And then you imply that man is enslaved by the state? Or the city he lives in? Huh? Local government does not enslave man Ron. LOL.

  9. Not only this but States rights ARE part of the Constitutional structure of the govt. Why is it that libs can't understand this very simple point: If the fed govt can change the Constitution in ways you want, then they also can change it in ways that you DON'T want (remember, we only have rights because of that document). Our fed govt IS unlimited, undefined, unrestrained, Unconstitutional government.. and obama is all for it.

There are enough people in any state to dominate, tyrannize even, an individual living in that state. So, county rights! : )
