They should already have this training and understand the Use of Force Continuum. In my opinion as one who has spent a long time studying physical combat, the officer's ego made the call on Floyd. He had personal desire to go beyond acceptable force. There was intent. Nothing about it was accidental. If we can agree it was not accidental, then we cannot conclude it was training that failed.
Here's a FANTASTIC idea. Minneapolis City Council members look to disband the police department as schools and other city agencies cut ties with police Now this is a fucking great idea, especially in the midst of a coast to coast insurrection. I think they should implement this immediately. I'm serious, completely serious. If this is what the left is offering up as a solution, then we need to see if it works. Lets have the social experiment in this one city, and then make our judgement in a few months. What can possibly go wrong? https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/m...ity-agencies-cut-ties-with-police/ar-BB15272H
I posted this yesterday. I can't wait for them to institute this idea. We can all sit back and watch what happens, and then we don't have to worry about any other city going down this path ever again after they see the effect. It will be a win for everyone. Except people in Minneapolis. Sacrificial lambs, I guess.
The solution is very simple and easy to implement. In predominantly, black areas, hire only black police officers. Have you every heard of any blacks complaining about blacks being killed by a white cop in say Detroit? When a black cop shoots a black suspect, there is no race card to play and now, it is just a thug, rightly shot by a cop? The only difference is the skin color. Now, 95% of police shootings is justified even the so called controversial ones. Take the Ferguson, Missouri shooting of Michael Brown. Michael Brown was spotted on store video shoplifting. An old asian clerk tried to stop him but, couldn't due to his size. He was a large individual. So, a white cop, Darren Wilson who has received numerous commendations during the time of his service, stops him and tries to frisk him. He fights the cop, gets him on the ground and bashes his head on the pavement. The cop sustained numerous injuries to his head and neck. He drew his gun and fired to save his life. Now, the shooting is justified yet, Barack Obama sent Eric Holder and the DOJ to investigate Darren Wilson. The cop resigned due to threats on his life and family. Nothing racist about it, nothing wrong about it, he was just doing his job. Tamir Rice a 13 year old with a toy black gun, pointed his gun at the police officer in a car responding to a call from that location. The police officer fired his gun and killed Tamir Rice? Whose fault is that? His parents no less yet, there was outrage and again, they portrayed the cop as racist and the shooting unjustified. Why don't you teach your children how to behave in front of cops who have numerous life and death decisions in split seconds, every single day. In the 5% of cases that cops shoot someone unjustly, they are prosecuted, charged and jailed. Officer Chauvin will get his in the George Floyd case, that is but, fair. In most other cases, the complaints of systemic racism is utter BS. Blacks make it seem all the shootings of black suspects is racist. When are the thugs going to be held accountable? Skin color does not matter.
Good solution, but then you'll see liberals telling us that there is racism because blacks get assigned to all the dangerous neighborhoods.
When it is black on black crime, they do not care as they cannot play the race card. In Chicago, week after week, 60 people get shot and killed on average. Most of them blacks. Yet, where is BLM, Colin Kaepernick, NFL players, black celebrities, black politicians or even the Congressional Black Caucus? Nowhere because they cannot play the race card so, nothing to see here. These guys live only for the racist card.
How does this madness work? They have a plan. Are we to expect that all the crime just magically disappears when the police are gone? Well, kinda'. You see, we simply redefine what a crime is. We're already being told that damage done to material things which can be replaced are not acts of violence. We are also told that we must allow people to act out aggressively and just let them do their thing. So it's easy enough to see that "crime" will be reduced by eliminating all acts of arson, burglary, theft, robbery and the like from the crime list. These are no longer crimes. These former crimes were just a social construct made up by white oppressors to keep the black man down, similar to that horrible idea of gender, another made up word to oppress those who are "different". So sorry business owner, when a "person of color" marches into your store all they need to do is announce their oppressed state and you must allow them to take whatever they want. Should you protest, it's okay for them to burn your place to the ground. You can, after all, replace these material things. One may think this is some crazy Orwellian prediction of things to come. Actually it's an observation of things that local, state, and federal government representatives are giving approval of, implemented and occurring right now.
Renewing the training also reiterates Yeah, this guy went full trog. Still, in my experience, a day's refresher has time to spend on culture and objectives. Anyway, so much for that idea.
Be a big win for the islamic terrorists too. Minnesota is already the top breeding ground for terrorists in the U.S. We may think that if you defund the police department all the poor minorities will suffer even more or want to go crying back to the police. Not necessarily so. You have large parts of Minneapolis that can't wait to turn the whole place into a no-go zone. Omar Country if you get my drift. They have their own legal system too- sharia- so if you want to dump both the cops and the entire legal system, they are good to go. Not your grandfather's Minnesota. Minnesota nice is not as nice as it used to be since the dems "improved" it.
I think the training's just wrong to begin with. Lot's of mall ninjas in law enforcement that take amateur MMA classes or "tactical" courses and think guillotine choke holds or insurgent submission techniques should be applicable to citizenry.
