I just saw Cramer going on about how the Dow is only down 1% on the year, when other countries like England, Germany, China, etc are all down over 15% this year. I might actually believe that the reason is that the American economy is stronger, but the fact the Canadian stock market is down over 12% this year makes me wonder. I am constantly back and forth between Canada and the US and there is no comparison... the economy in Canada is WAY stronger, way stronger job market, housing market, banking sector, etc... yet the US stock market is easily outperforming doesnt make sense to me. Is there another reason because there is no way the American economy is outperforming?
