also, is the assumption that the market moves in a way to take money away from most traders sufficient to determine the obvious? Like taking advantage of stop runs or something?
Context... There are 2 classifications of context: a) initial and true context leading observer to the same insight which was put into painting by artist b) other contexts which can influence perception of observers Nyse, what is our goal here? Find what Picasso was thinking? Can we? Or find what people would think given the context? "... I have understood my time and exploited the imbecility, the vanity, the greed of my contemporaries. It is a bitter confession, this confession of mine, more painful than it may seem. But, at least, and at last, it does have the merit of being honest." - Pablo Picasso" Given above, may be Picasso was thinking about his paycheck, or the fish he will eat after finishing this paiting.
I am now offended - an arsehole has called me a bastard As RN rightly put it - "it is all in the mind". Why do you think I spent such a long time "researching" the origins of the "New Thought" movement - for it is not all about curing diseases:eek: We tend to forget that History does indeed repeat itself, over and over, and if one is not willing to take the "time" to "realize" this, then they might just have to "put up" with what they have! I am certain that many of our eminent pHd brothers are more qualified than me to explain why people done what they did, but who gives a fuck what they did, all that matters is that we understand that everything has to originate from something - there can be no other way! I was, at one stage of my journey, the biggest believer in visualisation, but now, I think it is a load of bollox, and the junkie who wrote the "doors of perception" explains it nice and easy like. Some time ago, during a gathering of friends, as we sometime like to try and be "philosophical", I was asked how was my "Master Key" studies progressing, and I said, nah, I have come to the conclusion that it is mostly (even though there are some basic truths in it leading from others since the mid 1800's) one "load of bollox" "What!!" was the reply. "Yep" I said, and what is more, I have come to the conclusion that there is really only one thing that matters most in life, no matter what you set out to do, and that is; A Six Letter Word:eek: I like being a bastard milkruck I took some very nice photos today, and I will post some as a clue, but I don't want to post too many here, maybe in the lounge or somewhere, as many have no appreciation of natural beauty - ahhmm, now boys, no smart comments - and it should not be pushed in front of someone if they do not like it - just my personal opinion!
I missed one more context: c) the context allowing to see what artist has put in the painting unconsiously
I am glad to see that. New Thought may be useful for a bit of time and it attracts attention initially, but it does stumble eventually. When you first mentioned New Thought somewhere earlier in the thread, I was surprized that you took it serously.
Surely it will depend on what type of trading you would "like" to do! But, it is wise to be practical - for, how can you daytrade if you have a nagging wife (sorry Ladies!) that keeps shouting in your ear every time you "close" the door! Get the fuck out of the house and get a private room where you can concentrate on what needs to be done - trading is like nothing else you have ever done, or probably will ever do - it will fuck your head up, empty your pockets, and make you feel like the biggest fucking dim wit on ET, so, better be prepared "before" you start - which very few are! So I will swingtrade - fine, but you must then relinquish some control - for how the fuck are you supposed to know what is going to happen tomorrow - jeez, we can't even know what is going to happen in the next minute, never mind tomorrow - but if we are in control, then we can react to what is happening, and that, makes all the difference!! But, and there is always a but, it just so happens that, when you know the "obvious" you can, as you must, not give a fuck about the market, and if you miss a day trading, or a week, or even a month, so fucking what - teach a man to fish and he will never go hungry, and when you need some oily nourishment then all you need do is cast out your net and pull it in, for there has been and will always be fish in the sea, you just need to know how to "navigate" to the right place before you put out your net I hope this is clear to you, if not, then you better start to do some thinking I have a title for your daytrading thesis that will bend the mind of your prof; SQ3R - Sell Quickly React Reverse Results I can see a big outline already Oh, as you asked, send me an e-mail and I will send you a link that will help you ââ¬Åresearchââ¬Â, but you must not divulge it to anyone here, and then, when you read One Specific book that I will mention, you can reply here and tell all what you think of what you have read, and if it has enlightened you somewhat in relation to daytrading!
RN, I love leading you by the hand Ok, as you started, and some times one needs to be a bit serious, as it is a very serious business, and I know only too fucking well Trading plans, risk %'s, fancy fucking software, 12 x 21" flatscreens, bmw's, rolex watches, gucci handbags, and all the rest of the shite does not matter one little bit - IF - you are not in touch with reality. The wifey pifey was one example - again, apologies to any Ladies here - but if you treat trading like any other job, you will get fucked. You have bastards out there, hiding behind other people's money, who will, just because they can, fuck you up! But, they can only fuck you up if you let them! Now, of course one needs to have certain "skills", as in any trade or profession, but mess about in the markets and you will get fucked, guaranteed. All the "books" and "courses" are of limited value, and some are of course much better than others, but those that sell such, you must remember are just doing it for the money, even a fucking child knows that. So, when I say that I look at them "all as idiots", this is what I mean. Of course they are not idiots, are they not making big money from it!, it is the people who - and yes, yours truly did walk that path, as most did and will continue to do so, for there is no other way but for a very small few - give them the money that are the idiots http://i42.tinypic.com/28aiy35.jpg http://i43.tinypic.com/289luza.jpg
As the "novice" rightly said, the "market" is a stupid term, as if it was "something", when it is just "some people". Look at all of us - wasting our fucking time posting on a stupid fucking website, but why do we do it? For some, like RN has mentioned, it is looked on as "training"! For others, it is in search of "relevant information" that might help them become better traders. For the few, that stand out like a sore thumb, it is just something to do to pass the time, and throw in a few more of their stupid comments that they post on maybe 10 or 15 sites - this internet is the new "watering hole" for stray herds BLASH or SHABL Some will say, it is as simple as ABC, or 123, but little do they know
