The OP also said "The obvious is simple, and it is because it is so simple that 99.999% do not even stop to try and work it out." When you've worked out the "obvious" then this puts you on the path to finding a profitable method. But I'd forget about finding the OP's holy grail of 1000% returns.
Is this thread a path to enlightment or an 813 page word salad? One thing I can agree with "those that are not prepared to think and act for themselves are doomed to failure" So true so true. "WHY" do the authors put the time and energy into to this thread? What is the motive?
I don’t know what is the “official” obvious that is not obvious. But, I know 1 thing that is very simple and obvious but very hard to do and also is needed in all timeframes and most people will never know how to do it. Also, if told, people still will not make use of it and it’s hard to do for most since childhood. And this is something you need to do to make money and if you do you are automatically in the minority. I only don’t know how telling it can ruin the “edge” for those who know it so it probably this is not THE obvious. This thing that you need to know how to do is to wait. It’s obvious but not simple to do it properly.
Patience is most definitely an obvious pre-requisite to trade with any hope of success. It is necessary but not sufficient as what you really need is to know what to wait for
i guess the obvious trading is not a get rich quick scheme is one of the not so obvious to many people. New traders always come in expecting to make huge profits out of the gate and are often left disappointed when they lose everything. Proper education is vital to a successful trader.
Some contribuants to this tread posted valuable information on the other site. One of them summarised it as follows: AR + PE + BE = GM. Some of you will remember this. GO
It's obvious you can't predicted what going to happened next. It's not obvious to act and behave according to this fact. Forward thinking is a must. https://www.wisdomtimes.com/blog/forward-thinker-traits/
