Quite spectaculair and consistent results! So... which tf was the base for your lines? "Time = Money"; I find myself 10 years older studying this stuff and I'm running out of time (and money)... Why don't you use a quantity of 10 with these stats?
simple..it is very easy to look at - $130 or so on the booktrader..but looking at - $1,300 is a completely different story and can make you do things you shouldn't do..like get out just before the market turns and start to give you some money back.. if u look at my trades..u will see that the big winners have been where i added to a loser..HOWEVER..you have to be very careful with this type of trading..as..if i had gone long yesterday evening with 30 min left to NYSE close..and if i doubled up..then i would have to put back in that €200 that i took out steady as she goes..bit busy today so will not be doing anything till later on..i am going to test Motivewave..as the TWS charts are just terrible to work with.. no matter what setup you have !!!!!!!
funny enough..i was trying out new charts with some of these trades..from the 5, 10, 15 and 30 sec bars with TWS charts..not happy as no matter what setup i tried it did not improve my entries using the book trader.. only a certain number of things can be wrong..i am either trying to get every turn in the market right..which is not easy by any stretch..or i am forgetting that it is always better to trade the larger timeframes such as 1,3 and 5 min..where you HAVE to allow for swings..no other way.. with commissions of 52 cent per side..even if you make $10 per scalp.. that is over 10% of your profit gone on commission..which is way too high.. so..steady as she goes..as i really am surprised how much i had forgotten until you actually sit in front of the screens..but i have no intention of working for brokers..so i will work away until i am happy with my setup and my average daily result.. i am in no hurry..as the MES is not going anywhere..but up and down..of course
Hmmm, I rather trade within the 1h TF, better if 4h and 1H are in line, and, for that matter, if the price is in the right place for the best one of the daily sides, that is the best entry point for me, provided the day is right But 5m and 15m trade is fine as well when the time is right Though, I do not trade the MES and EUR.USD may work a bit differently
thx for reminding me i had a new one hand gaming keyboard..as the keys are programmable in TWS then it is fine..i just plugged into usb port and it works in parallel with my standard keyboard..lot handier to use as the little palm rest makes all the difference..just used it on this trade
i have been testing Motivewave and much more configurable than TWS..however..i have been unable to find a way to move a working limit order with the keyboard shortcuts..without having to hit the enter button..not good..as the order needs to move as soon as you press the assigned key combination..without having to hit enter button to modify the new price..i have emailed support to see if this is possible?
