what was the point of this exercise and what key points should be noted..if you were following you should easily be able to rattle off same!

    Congratulations

    Some obvious points:

    wait for an opportunity,
    no pain no gain,
don't paint yourself into a corner - leave room to manoeuvre,
be prepared to trade the bounce

this is the actual trading setup with a DOM ladder to the right of the line chart for quick order entry and exits - method 1 of course :)

so..here is how the new account will go..

IB for account to trade MES and The Smalls..cheapest fees overall and easiest to access and withdraw money

    MT5 for charting as above

Order routing to IB TWS via MT5 for method 1 trading - short term trading the MES - no intention to do short term trades on The Smalls as of yet

Method 2 trading will be done mostly on the phone using MT5 app for charts and IB phone app for order entry

Method 2 trading will consist of longer term trades for MES and THE Smalls

now..here is something that some will not like..but so what..it is as it appears !

most here do not know how the ES works..you have to spend hours and hours watching the ES to get a feel for what those who are in control are doing..and when..as you will have different groups controlling at different times..BUT..they can be "predictable enough" to allow you to put on some low risk trades..

THE ONLY WAY TO SEE WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS TO "LOOK" !!!!!!!!!

    2. Never ever trade the ES unless you know what you are doing !

typical order..enter on ladder and then can be modified by dragging on chart or ladder..can easily be cancelled on ladder by "shift" and click oin the "x" on ladder

IB have a far better customizable button layout that i will set up for use..i used it before and it bis very good for fast moving markets as you can set up various buttons to shift your active order by any amount of ticks you want..i think i had a button for +/- 4,8,12,16,20 ticks

    3. Do not trade the ES short term unless you are fully setup to deal with fast order entries..as you will need them..guaranteed :)

  10. You seemed confident we'd see a drop TODAY prior to today's Open. Good call on that. Any particular reason for that...?

Yet, while you profited on the trade, surely you took more heat than profit, yes? So what's all this talk about low risk trades?
