milktruck - I neither dislike nor like any person that I do not personally know, how can I, when I have never met them!

The internet is such a silly tool, and for some silly reason, a lot of people take it seriously:eek:

You started off bad, then you started to think a little, got a little better, and then, at the first sign of idiotic behaviour, you reverted to the "usual" way of thinking- you failed the first real test, but you can of course redeem yourself at any time, the choice is yours, always has been and always will be!

The easiest path is not usually the best one to take!

The hardest path can be painful at times, but it will nearly always lead you to the right destination - and in this instance, as we are talking about trading, that just happens to be money!

So you see milktruck, you have been an arsehole:D

We must never forget that we really know nothing about anything - it is the only way forward in a backward society!

If one is to trade and make good money, then one must be prepared mentally, more so than anything else.

Knowing "the obvious", is of no use unless you have the 3lb of grey matter between the ears "well conditioned".

This means you must be able to forget about anything that would normally cause us human beings to become "agitated", and the best way to do that, and keep on doing it, is to practice it:D

It is like papertrading and real trading - they are completely different - one gives you a false sense of security, the other gives you a secure sense of falseness!

As I said, milktruck should be, and was, thanked for the lesson, as we can all become complacent in our old age:)

Tell you what RM, why don't you pick the remaining words, and they must relate to trading of course, and we will all see if we can get them.

At the end you must do a pdf that will make sense, like mine did:D, it is not that hard at all, in fact, it is very very easy, and when the first few are done, the others are easy peasy:D

OK RN, many here seem to think that some of us know "absolutely nothing" about trading, so let’s prove them right:D

    A question for all;

"If you had a choice to pick a box that would make you money trading, would you pick a "black box", or a "see thru box"?"

Remember, the easiest path is not always the best one to take:)

Actually, I think a poll might be warranted here, let me see if I can remember how to do one:D

OK, poll in place, I had to think there, I now need a glass of milk :D

    NYSE,

Regarding the chart I posted earlier in the thread. It's one of the techniques with which I've experimented in the past. I saw what appeared to me to be a "Gannish" time/price squaring on one of your charts and it seemed as if you were leading us to this technique as if it were part of the "obvious" which we fail to see. It's obvious that a trend grows in a semi-non-random way, and that if you "trade what you see", you "should" see a pattern in the growth of the trend.

It seems that I missed the important message on your chart and maybe I need to massage my brain cell some more. Hopefully I can work it out.

    Happy mentoring...

To evaluate your spanking new trading system, you need to have:

    Code:
    R _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _H_N_ _ _

    E _ _ _ _ _ _ _ S_ _V_V_ _ _

    S _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ S_ _ _O_T _T

    U _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _F _H_ _I_K

    L _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _S_ _ _ _T_ _N_

    T _ _ _ T_ _ _ T_ _ _

I posted my "word-o-gram" without considering that we should probably finish the previous one first. My apologies. Just ignore it for now.

Do not worry RM, you are not alone!

If you draw a line on a chart, close enough to the current price level, at some point in time the price will hit that line - is that not amazing:D

The reinforcement of bad habits is to be avoided at all costs:eek:

Maybe, just maybe, one should be asking oneself, why did the price hit the line at that particular time, and why not at a previous time, or a future point in time?

If you know why the price hit the line when it did, as opposed to "trying" to determine when it will hit the line, you might then see that it is mostly a load of rubbish:D

Let me post an advanced gann matrix - this one is a beaut, and reminds me of a lovely chart that a fortune teller showed me when I was young and foolish - hey, what am I saying, her predictions were right, I would grow up and be successful at what I do, even though I would encounter many obstacles along the way:D

Was she a "real" fortune teller, or was she a good judge of human nature:confused:
