Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

BTW, the spread was only 1:1, so not a real punt at trying to negate risk - anyway, main thing is a few more $$ to buy a few flowers and a few Big Mac's :D

Looks like the new trader has gone already!

Ah that's true. A dollar in the pocket is a dollar in the pocket! :)

H123 will like this - this is what I was doing today as I was "trading"

I took in the tree for H123 - bet you won't see that green grass in Texas :D

Ah very serene.. I suppose that's how trading should be done. Is that tree purple?

Yes, Copper Beech - lovely tree, leaves go brown in Autumn as they die off - planted it in 1988!

I think I might buy a few VXX shares if ES rallies a bit more - might sell some calls this time as I might hold them for a month or so.

Will have a look at SPX charts later and see if anything stands out?

I don't believe I've ever seen this tree before. 28 years. Good choice. It is quite lovely!

Yes, you have to see it on a real sunny day, sitting back drinking a bottle of ice cold Guinness, feet up, and listening to the birds chirping - who wants to be sitting in front of a PC all day:rolleyes:

No, buy VXX shares and sell the VXX calls.

I stopped trading ES options over a month ago and switched to ES - you can have a larger drawdown, but the ES doesn't expire worthless:rolleyes:

If $5k - or a bit more - drawdown bothers you, then holding ES trades for a few weeks is not to be tried!

Looks like 2062 might be the magic number - only time will tell?
