So true, in trading. Consciousness, however, is a subtle master. I dare anyone to try to become a fool, just try it! What steps are required to become a fool, and do they really work? It ain't easy to become a fool, but very easy to continue to be unaware. It's so ingrained in us, that we avoid anything that someone else may judge to be "silly", which is a limitation of mind.
SS, it is very easy become a fool, and I have first hand experience, and now that I am no longer a fool, I look back and grind my teeth when I think of how many mistakes I made. I would not listen to anyone, ignored everything but what I should have been ignoring, and very nearly fucked myself up for good. I use the memories to keep me from not ever being a fool again, which I never ever will be, that is for sure. J_S
So it is easy for you to NOW become unaware, or has something changed that cannot be changed back by willpower alone?
A real fool keeps doing the same things over and over, if the things being done are causing him/her major problems. The reasons as to why the person became a fool are many, and can be anything from what parents were like, upbringing, schooling, career path, social life, and where one is living - country or urban. Most of the fools I have met, and I have met many, all exhibit similar traits, in the way they act, communicate, treat others, and ignore sound advice from any person. When you surround yourself with fools, you run the danger of becoming a fool, which, is what happened me. To fix the problem, stop being a fool, I had to remove myself from the place and people who were causing me to remain a fool. I was lucky, in that I had the common sense to see what was wrong, but only after I stopped clouding my mind and judgement with alcohol. When you introduce chemicals into your body, you are asking for trouble, especially if the chemicals do not agree with you, as can be easily seen by your behaviour changes. Now, I look at these fools for what they really are, weak minded individuals with no will power to overcome the things that are ruining their lives, and, with most of them, no matter what help is given, they will not change, as their minds are not strong enough to overcome the effects of chemicals acting on the brain cells. Trading is no different, and to overcome the things that can ruin your life, as losing your money can definitely ruin your life, one must have a strong mind and stop being a fool! J_S
Not sure about the first three as I thought OB was possibly a typo and you meant DB, as an OB could be a smaller form of BOB. EQ (O=C) a pause?
EQ(one word) can also be ED(2 word), or BD(one word). It can be seen in the symbol of justice (BD)! J_S
SS, what is, is, and what matters most is what you do now, not what you have done. We all have issues at some stage, all part of life, and sorting them out can take time and effort, but that is what happens when you let yourself become a real fool. It is amazing what a clear head can do, and it is vg learning for trading, as you really know what can happen if you don't keep a clear head, and do what you have to do, not what you want to do, which is of course the thing you should not be doing. Funny thing life, and it will always be what we make it ourselves, not what others make it for us. J_S
Yes, life is funny, in that what people often believe or tell themselves, is never the whole story. What is incredible, is what often people judge as weakness, therein lies often the greatest individual strengths, if only channelized in the right way. Nobody can really tell anybody how or instruct exactly, because it's all a journey of self-discovery, of becoming and ultimately, of being. So be and let be.
Equality, Evenly Distributed, BalanceD. I expect that everyone posting on this thread has their own horror stories about their own foolishness and lack of judgement - I certainly have - its quite normal I think.
