You're only asking half, or part, of the equation...you're just looking at a past chart. -- You also have to get a grasp or feel or understand the logic behind it. I know it may sound kind of cliche...but I always say: Trading is part science, and part art. -- a good trader knows this, and is a master of his craft. you can't really solely rely on just one way or another. -- nor can the really greats be taught it...it's something you have master or find within yourself.
Or the UK equivalent, FTSE-350 stocks. With 350 horses to choose from, it shouldn't be too hard, at any given time, to find a few obvious candidates.
Thank you J Smith. I found an interesting article at tradeguider. He explains the market makers, and funny that it goes into some military analogies similar to the other thread here on et, about the generals. http://www.elitetrader.com/et/index.php?threads/market-intelligence-the-key-to-profits.167246/
Forget about all that rubbish JI, what market/s did you trade and why did you lose a good bit of money? J_S
Just trying out to see if I can post a chart on here. ET is pretty nice with the new (to me) changes.
tws charts are not very good at basic stuff..ninjatrader or multicharts much better..or even excel for certain charts
