yes MN..qt will be missed as it is a very easy package to use..but what will be will be there are some other very good packages like this one..but you must have live data feed of course
Seems to me that you haven't thought very much about what you are saying. A question just for you only: If anyone wanted to 'get' any particular book, what method would you suggest to try first?
leave him off MN..i was sort of missing the slippery fellow anyway the recent poster does not obvious read what is written
I don't subscribe to a data feed, so can't use Ninjatrader or play with Excel. I believe that IB brokers feed into Ninjatrader but I don't have an account with IB. Maybe I should try eSignal Livecharts again as it now comes with market depth for an extra $30. Pivot points TO, I'm suprised!!! Or did you draw them simply because R1-S1 = H-L of the previous day, and R2-S2 = 2x(H-L) and R3-S3 = 3x(H-L), thus the previous day's range is automatically superimposed on the current chart putting the day's current range into context. In that regard I often manually draw a large box representing the ADR. I find it hard to attach any significance to the R1,R2,R3,S1,S2,S3 levels as they depend on the pivot point which is usually P=(H+L+C)/3 and to me that seems arbitrary. Any other definition of pivot point such as P=(H+L+2xC)/4 seems equally valid, but of course that would not be available as an option on charts. RSC is still a puzzle.
Hey MN, Since TO has stated he is unable to predict future price movement s/r levels are indeed arbitrary. Perhaps he only cares which level price is responding to and more importantly how it acts and most importantly how he will act. Trying to help, my apologies if I'm wrong or lacking substance.
S&R lines are very important BD..as they show us where price movement has a high probability of continuation..or reversal
TO, I was thinking all s/r lines (on whatever your given timeframe) are created equal since you have no way of knowing which will hold significance on any given day...as part of my journey to stay open minded following price. Would you steer me away from this belief?
