$TICK is delayed and so is NYSE composite index on FreeStockCharts. I have a data feed from ProRealTime which includes the NYSE advance decline net difference which seems very similar to the TICK index. If this is the flaw then its not clear how to exploit it even if a source for the TICK index was available.
