  1. With all due respect BLB, since I know that talking point didn't come from you, that is the stupidest question I've ever heard
Why you ask.? You say if McCain dies we have a neophyte running the place right?????
Well what the hell happens if Biden Dies???? We have a neophyte running the place

  2. BlindLemonBoosh,

    I couldn't agree more...
Fear is the primary population control tactic.
It works for terrorists and it works for authoritarian rulers - those seeking chaos and those seeking to "bring order to chaos".
"Good and evil" - "order and chaos" - there are many such constructed diametrically opposites in systems.

A system is just a view, though...
It reflects knowledge and does not perfect real absolute rule or command obedience - only the illusion thereof.
Order is an ideal - but in reality a simplistic illusion. It makes it easier to accept, though.

The polarizing nature of many social structures and influences are such that they seek perpetuating their existence on these dynamics.

  3. Fear works on timid little children who need a Bush or McCain daddy to take care of them. Bush and McSame love to play the angry parent.

For that matter, doesn't it seem that most republicans around here are angry all the time?

Even now that some polls put McCain in the league, they are still angry...

And in a hearing yesterday a high military officer stated:
"I'm not convinced we are winning the war on terrorism in Afghanistan - no matter the amount of troops, no matter the amount of time..."

"We can't kill our way to victory, and no armed force anywhere -- no matter how good -- can deliver these keys alone. It requires teamwork and cooperation," Mullen said.

Well, the approach of forcefully structuring something like terrorism is completely impossible. Grassroots terrorism is a direct reflection of underlying systemic deficiencies - e.g no democracy, rights violations, suppression etc. Resistance, really... just like the US freedom struggle centuries ago.

It is a systemic failure to combat grassroots terrorism with military interventionism and force, because it is a political and social unrest - therefore it is essentially asymmetric warfare...

  5. here we go again.

    follow - slloooowwwwllyy

Obama was voted in by 18 MILLION as the democratic presidential candidate.

    Obama is a PRESIDENTIAL candidate.

    Got those two points?

    ok, good.

Now let us continue to the second part of rectifying your neocon logical fallacy.

Palin was SELECTED by a man most would call borderline insane.

    Palin is a VICE-PRESIDENTIAL candidate.

    got that?

maybe next time we'll play spell this out slowly?

As for "experience". It's all BULLSHIT contrived by the bull shit party. AKA neocon party.

The Bush necon administration probably has the most experienced cabinet ever.

look what that got the americans. On the slide down to shit creek.

  7. As I mentioned a few posts ago in this thread, and for anyone not familiar with what's happening in Bolivia...

Bolivian President Evo Morales called Wednesday for the U.S. ambassador to be expelled for allegedly encouraging anti-government protesters.
    http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/americas/09/10/bolivia.us/index.html

An insurrection against President Evo Morales in the eastern part of the country entered its second week Tuesday, with groups backed by local governors seizing control of government offices and airports and threatening to shut off a gas pipeline that feeds strategic fields in Argentina and Brazil.

  8. Ha Ha you are a hoot ARPG

First, Obama wasn't elected presidental candidate, he was nominated. Just like Ron Paul was Nominated (by himself), and Bob Barr was nominated (by himself) . and John McCain Was nominated. The delegates to the conventions were elected, and if you would have counted FL and MI, Hillary may have gotten more delegates.

    But that aside.

Obama picked Biden for one reason Politics. It made his candidacy look stronger.
McCain picked Palin for one reason, Politics. It widened his base and appealed to the conservatives. And politically speaking, tht was probably one of the smartest things I've seen a politician do in ages.

Both parties now have an old political hack and a popular newcomer. The election will determine who becomes president.

But in both cases, if the old hack dies, we still will have someone with little or no foreign experience at the head of our nation. Personally I'll pick the gun wielding conservative from Alaska over the person that was too chicken to hold a debate on FOX network .

What I find most interesting about these kinds of arguments is how often the left tries to put down their opponent with name calling etc instead of just arguing the facts or their interpretation of them.

Go to all the left and right wing blogs sometime and look at the tone of the two. The left wing is vitrol. Look at the demonstrators at the conventions, the Left wing is peeiong on people, breaking windows etc. Makes you proud to be associated with them doesn't it?

  9. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Thursday he is recalling his own ambassador from Washington and expelling the U.S. ambassador from Venezuela.

President Hugo Chavez said he was making the moves "in solidarity with Bolivia and the people of Bolivia."

"He has 72 hours, from this moment, the Yankee ambassador in Caracas, to leave Venezuela," Chavez told a crowd of supporters.

Bolivia's Evo Morales accused the United States Thursday of fomenting a coup d'etat by rich eastern department landowners against him, the country's first Indian president.

Bolivia has a 55-85% indigenous population, and this is the first president of that people. He has been trying to give rights formerly denied to this population majority. He also nationalized the natural gas operators and others, trying to turn around the dirt poor situation for the population - while the nation's natural resources were being exported without leaving any sustainable compensation for the population - mainly maintained through tough control and corruption, like in Venezuela's oil exports earlier - mainly US led.

I'm no socialist, but I do think that conservative predatory corruption regimes that enforce their stranglehold on a democratic population is not something worth preserving - it's a systemic deficiency where a reaction builds up, and in a democracy the situation can be adapted - not thwarted like under de facto oligarchy and other authoritarian conservative shams. This is partly why I am no objectivist, along with the objectivist aggressive stances and epistemological flaws. Also most know that Ayn Rand had a miserable personal life with absolutely no balance, insight or bearing on how to deal with social structure. She seemed like a truly traumatized person.

The aggressive notion that fraudulent, unfairly and corrupt acquisition of national resources should be set in stone for a democracy is not in line with a healthy, working democratic capitalist economy.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anarcho-capitalism#Property

PS! I'm not an "anarcho-capitalist" per se, but concur on much of the systemic reasoning of society - social structure - like minimization of state, free market contractual economy etc.
