why is the media so left?

  1. LOL, not a single response from any socialist moonbat on ET. I love when I strike a nerve.

Instead of Pallin threads why isn't BuyLowSellHigh starting a thread "Why Did Iraq war Supporter Biden Get Picked For VEEP By Obama"?

  2. No nerve Adolph, just that you are so past your prime that no one cares about your rambling self congratulatory stuff.

Were you a contortionist, it is pretty clear what would be in your own mouth...

  3. I actually read every word of your post, Pabst.

I chose not to respond to it because I feel the lowest-common-denominator name calling and flaming that is prevalent on ET is getting old, and I'm not responding to those types of posts anymore even if I share the underlying message that gets blurred by the antics.

I've seen intelligent posts of yours that I agree with (we agree on smaller government and flat taxes, I believe, among other issues), so it isn't as if you have to dumb down your posts to emphasize your point.

  5. Seems this observation isn't mine alone. The mean-spiritedness I see from the RNC is just hard to watch. They really can't function w/o someone to jump up and down on -- like watching Hannity or O'Reilly. And I thought democrats were the party that catered to hollywood. With all the cowboy hats and military regalia flashing around that hall you'd think it was halloween.

  6. Pabst,

    Your comment.

"Where is the media? Granted news comes and goes but there's a decided lack of commentary in both print and aired media about these historic foreign policy achievements."

When I read your post yesterday, those were also my first thoughts. Why did I have to read a concise "brilliant" summary on ET and not in the general news media?

Secondly, I do agree with the statement "seeds of acadamia". Faceless, nameless, social engineers.

I do have a theory of how this begins with academia - Grant money. What the academics call a "new or unconventional approach" is nothing more than the fact there is no new grant money for the same old tired dogma.

  7. I love the media bias argument.
Fox is definitely right leaning, even I will admit that. Watching their questions during the Demo convention, I could see how their wording etc was geared a little Right.
But MSNBC, NBC, CNN, etc are definitely left biased.
A simple comparison is how Palin and Obama have been vetted by the media. Does any thinking person think they were vetted the same?? I doubt it. Fox attacked Abama on certain issues that the rest of the Media wouldn't touch. and now the rest of the Media is attacking Palin on everything.

  8. Hmmmm...

N Korea looks to be starting it's nukes up again.

Iran is still running it's centrifuges and enriching.

bin Laden (that guy who attacked us on 9/11) is still - somewhere. (Too bad the CIA didn't get the support it needed to nail him when they had him in Tora Bora.)

Taliban is still trouble in Afghanistan.

Hamas still looks rooted in Lebanon and Gaza.

Russia is going back to being Communist Authoritarian.

    Oh joy...

  9. I gather then that we won't have to read anymore threads started by you with "dumb bitch" in the title.

  10. Pot, meet the kettle. You're both black!

Simply put, your claim of media bias is easily refuted by the verifiable dominance of conservatives on cable news shows, talk radio, and financial news. That was, I thought, fairly obvious.

Also, those who claim that the media is "left" fail to point out that "left" and "right" have social dimensions, economic dimensions, and other dimensions. A person can be liberal on economics yet be a conservative on social matters. What would THEY be? They're both right AND left.

Still, you are welcome to believe otherwise. And I am welcome to put your on ignore. I see little value in your posts, both on theS&P e-minis and on politics.
