Why is the Futures market supposedly more difficult?

  2. Grob109 has been getting to you I see! Look at it this way - it's worth having him around just for the entertainment value! "Talking in tongue" is not meant for mere mortals to understand anyway. To accomplish that level of understanding you have to be a TRUE BELIEVER!

The guy is a riot. Honestly, he hasn't got the faintest idea what he's banging on about, even with himself. Nobody actually thinks the guy is a trader. Some people get mad with him for invading every thread with his jibberish. But honestly, I love the guy. Where else can you witness such utter bollocks being espoused and then have true believers show up and thank him for serving them their daily fix???!!!!

Actually, it really wouldn't surpise me if his supposed followers were himself. I think he's an old guy who is a bit lonely that's all, and that's why he posts the way he does. Prattling on to nobody but himself. Kind of funny and sad at the same time.

  3. Are you familiar with Spydertraders journal? Heres a quote from the initial post:

"I have traded The Jack Hershey Equities Method for little over a year – full time for the past 2 months. I have found my results to be quite extraordinary – enabling me to quit my full time job and trade these methods as my only source of income."

He has been showing how he does it for a year now in plain english.

  4. Making over 100 trades per day in the ES market is not an unusual case. The attached report shows an automated system routinely making about 100 trades per day.

  9. Are the net profits after commissions? I am interested in hearing more about your system. You can PM if you like.

  10. He ain't being serious... most of the successful ES traders that I know don't average more than 1 point a day per contract (over the long run)... a long-run average of 0.5pt per contract per day (after all costs) is highly respectable and is a great living if you do size...

If you don't do size, discretionary equities trading is probably the better route, until you are capable of doing size, since my belief is that capital growth to enable size trading is easier with equities, but income generation (with size) is more consistent with semi-discretionary/systemized futures trading... some may disagree, but this is my personal experience...
