"A newbie who gets into futures without understanding program trading is asking for trouble." I 100% agree. But when you figure out how to be on the same side of the program trades when they go off, that is where the money is made.
Like I said you need to hang in better circles. I've been averaging over 2 points a day per contract when I trade the mini ES and 3 points a day per contract when trading the Euro for 3 years now. I don't trade every day but do trade an average of 3 days a week. I trade about 35 weeks a year.
Your numbers, combined with relatively simple money management principles, imply that you are worth (or could have been worth, had you got the basic math approach correct) much more than I am worth... congratulations... The drinks are on you... Myself, a mere mortal, will continue to plug away with my low drawdown and consistent method of index futures trading...

Thanks but your math needs some brushing up on. I'm a small trader, throwing 10 lots at the Market on each trade. I don't compound and don't average. I'm about as conservative as you get. I average a breath over 10K a week when I trade and vacation a lot. My opiniion is that consistency is more important then being greedy, stupid or a smart aleck. I have a blast trading and and even have more fun spending the rewards. I fly 10 feet below the radar and laugh at the people 15 feet above me. My grandkids will know exactly how I trade and trade as well as I do before I die and my last check will bounce. End of story.
God bless ya Charlie Dow... sounds like tradin' heaven ta mee... $380,000.00 to a max of $480,000.00 a year + plus vacations... Oh Mama... dat is da best... God bless yer kids and grandkids and thank god you are not into giving or holding any of those messy nasty seminar or chat type of thingys... If you were into giving those ding dang seminar or chat room thingy's you would have to supply audited trading sheet statements and all that to anybody who would want to verify your $400-500K trading income so they would feel comfortable about you being their honest seminar giver or chat room guy... man you got it the best... major appluse from the peanuts gallery... I am doing Ok but that is a whole new level to aspire to all the best... may the wind always be at your back lad... cj... _________________ HAVE STOP - WILL TRADE If You Have The Vision We Have The Code
Let me see if I got it right, you do: avg 2pt/day in ES avg 3pt/day in 6E In Euro it's certainly doable, as it averages 90+ points per day. But avg 2pt/day in ES? hmmm Nevertheless, feel free to post some daily P/Ls in Trader P/L thread. Which by the way has had virtually no posts by futures traders.
