In an affidavit submitted in court, two investigators assigned to the case by a Florida special prosecutor reported that Zimmerman "disregarded the police dispatcher" who instructed him not to follow Martin. You just like making shit up huh....
No. In a statement he gave to police the same night he shot and killed the unarmed teen, Zimmerman wrote that he was returning to his vehicle after a police dispatcher told him over the phone to stop pursuing Martin.“The dispatcher told me not to follow the suspect and that an officer was in route,” Zimmerman wrote in the statement, which was released to the public for the first time on Thursday morning. “As I headed back to my vehicle, the suspect emerged from the darkness and said ‘you got a problem?'” So who do we believe...the guy that was actually there or someone that wasn't.
http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/201...-violence-fighting-with-a-police-officer?lite Zimmerman accused of domestic violence, fighting with a police officer Court documents obtained by msnbc.com on Tuesday evening show that George Zimmerman, who fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, went to court in 2005 and 2006 for accusations of domestic violence, tussling with a police officer and speeding. The three incidents took place in Orange County, Fla. In 2005, Zimmerman, then 20, was arrested and charged with âresisting officer with violenceâ and âbattery of law enforcement officer,â both which are third-degree felonies. The charge was reduced to âresisting officer without violenceâ and then waived when he entered an alcohol education program. Contemporaneous accounts indicate he shoved an officer who was questioning a friend for alleged underage drinking at an Orange County bar. In August 2005, Zimmermanâs ex-fiancee, Veronica Zuazo, filed a civil motion for a restraining order alleging domestic violence. Zimmerman counterfiled for a restraining order against Zuazo. The competing claims were resolved with both restraining orders being granted.
If before he was killed the fact that he was a criminal before is relevant for Martin then ZImmerman's actions after also highlight the kind of person he is. He has a history of aggravated assault. As for the night of events, we have Zimmerman's word against Trayvon and..oh wait..one of the witnesses is dead.
We never heard Trayvon's side of the story or you find it impossible to beleive that someone with Zimmerman's criminal record is capable of lying to protect himself....
We do know Zimmerman went to trial and was found not guilty. The evidence matched up with his story. Trayvon Martin was a thug with a history of drug abuse and violence. The media can selectively edit as many 911 calls as they want and they can show as many pictures of the kid when he was 13 as they want but the guy was violent and nothing excuses the way he acted. There was a string of unsolved robberies that occurred in the community prior to his death. After he was dealt with, the robberies stopped. It looks like Zimmerman got the right guy.
Didn't they find jewelry or something that was stolen in his backpack too? Or burglary tools. I seems to remember something about that.
