I'm not against government taking a % share of economic activity, from land extraction, research or top 100 US corporations to become a sovereign wealth fund. Every US citizen should at birth be given a share of that fund to be released at year 65 (with allowance for exceptions) in lieu of the existing redistribution of social security employment payments. But we all know Trump is thinking more along the line of how to take a discreet cut out of his corporate shakedown. On another note, it is not in the nation's interest for government to build or save failing businesses. Both Democrats and Republicans see a benefit in doing so - Dems get union labor's vote, Reps get corporate kickbacks- but consumers end up with poor quality goods and services.
