Take a good look at the slob and ignorance on the streets on a given day and then look at the candidates who are still running for President and you will quickly realize America does indeed have a representative democracy.
The media has been very busy perpetuating the spin that killary's emails weren't marked as secret when she sent them and thus all is ok. And never mentioning that the law states that national secrets are secret at the time they are created, not when they are marked. They've been printing the lie, and hiding the evil. Did you know the following things were in killary's emails on the unsecured server? from article at lewrockwell.com: "Perhaps she now recognizes how hard-pressed she will be to claim to the FBI or to a jury that she did not know that satellite photos of a North Korean nuclear facility or transcripts from wiretaps of Yemeni intelligence agents’ cellphone calls or the itinerary of the late U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens in the days before his murder or true names of American undercover intelligence agents — all of which were in her emails — were state secrets."
The next trial balloon in trying to get Hillary off. They tried 'it never happened' Then they tried ' the docs weren't marked secret when she sent them' Now, it's ' she had no malicious intent, so there's no real crime here' Officials: Scant evidence that Clinton had malicious intent in handling of emails What they're admitting is that she did it. But lets forget that it's illegal and she's been trying to cover it up all this time. (whatever happened to 'the coverup is worse than the crime' mantra that is always drug out when it's a republican?) Btw, the lying since day one about doing it is a small bit of evidence about malicious intent, wouldn't you say? Still, it's all kabuki theater as the corrupt as hell obongo DOJ will never indict as long as they think she'll win the election. All the excuses to get her off the hook are just campaign pr to try to help dissuade the public that she's corrupt as hell and a liar.
Good points fhl. I noticed that headline and thought the same thing. Subtle change in the spin. I'm sure Gen. Petraeus had no malicious intent either. He just wanted to keep banging a young woman. He got off with an unconscionably light sentence. Total hypocrite, preaching all this duty, honor, country bullshit, while he's violating laws other people had their careers and lives ruined over. I don't see how anyone can be prosecuted for security violations if they top Petraeus with letting Hillary off scot free.
Three words that should each be in business for themselves, rather than strung into the same sentence.
