why I just loaded June calls on the silver train

  1. My analysis of the trade is that the OP didn't have confidence in his setup. Two big red flags:
    • Choosing June options instead of May options for a short term trade.
    • Bailing out within 15 minutes of position being green for the 1st time.
Nothing to learn from this trade.

  2. Shut the fuck up loser. vertical spread doesnt make it better or worse, you sac reward for bit less risk, and if the expectation is a gap/rubberband you dont want to cap the reward.

Nothing wrong with this trade after 4 consecutive major gap downs followed by 1 sideway.

I did the diagonal spread instead, lost $1100 profit today for a $2200 max less risk. But now i am capped and will need to exit if it keeps going up as delta between the 2 legs are getting very close.

  3. Can you explain the June calls, instead of the May calls for such a short term position? The OP can't even explain it.

  4. I played the June calls to assume a little less risk but still be exposed to the set up I thought would happen. I exited the position on 2 trades as well as entered the position on 2 trades. Total profit was about 32%. One reason I exited the trade because the bounce happened just like I had planned. I had to play whatever that looked like. It just so happened the bounce upon the exit was 6% at the open. I would have liked it to be 10% but that was not the case.

    The point being is
I traded my plan for entry
I exited the trade just like I had planned
I was rewarded for the effort

I would do it again, with a stock or a commodity. It is a highly profitable setup.

  5. It worked just like I had planned. This is the reason I stopped posting on the boards here. It was a constructive trade with no ill harmed intended and I still get all the nastiness from others. This is the same reason I stopped posting on the PnL boards. There are always those that feel they must tear others down to make themselves feel good. I am so sorry your miserable.

  8. who the fuck are you? Vertical doesn't make it better? Bullshit. This POS isn't going to gap 30 pct overnight so you might as well lower your basis and sell some premium. He bought the fuckin calls 2 days before a weekend dumbass. Get the fuck out of here, you're a retard. Btw, why are you crying? Did I hurt your feelings in another thread?

  9. I'm not miserable at all. You come here thinking your hot shit. You need a reality check. Why did this bounce on the 4th day? Explain it.

  10. look at his post date you ignorant fuck. It's thursday. There is something wrong with it but you're too busy posting about a meaningless diagonal spread. Why are you short the front month? Are you a gambler too? You do realize margins went through the roof and being long volatility isn't the cool thing to do anymore right?
