So you are open to the fact then that she might be a legit Tech Analysis trader, with a 15 year track record?
Sample data goes back 15 months--- but yeah, 5 weeks of 1005 accuracy. Yeah, check back in 11 months---
What do you mean? It's a fact that she has been a floor trader since 1998 and that she is now discussing her tech analysis approaches that she uses, 15 years later now working for a hedge fund. You can't dispute those facts.
She doesn't trade for any hedge fund. She is listed as a chat room moderator. surf PS-- I have traded since 1990, worked with three hedge funds--one as head trader, traded for an options arb firm, and my own account over 23 years--- why do you think I am not knowledgeable?
She represents a hedge fund with a solid track record and she represents this via her knowledge of tech analysis. If this were a sham, she would not be allowed to represent this firm by teaching tech analysis. I'm sure you are knowledgeable but you are not open to new info that may contradict your beliefs.
I am not aware of any hedge funds that use TA as a real time trading method. It would be near impossible to raise much capital by saying that you use TA. Maybe some do, but they are certainly quiet about it. surf
I have a college friend who trades for a small HF (200 million AUM) and they employ all kinds of Tech analysis strategies. You cannot assume you know everything.
What's the name of the fund? I don't assume I know everything, in fact, I don't know much-- but can only go by my experience. you mean the fund you know has guys sitting around looking at charts and making decisions from them? surf The original article in case anyone missed it http://www.marketsurfer.com/?p=169
I don't know the funds name (as i do not recall Stan ever telling me the name) but do know they employ all kinds of strategies that involve past price and other market data.
