Nonsense. Putin is not acting in Russia's best interest at all. The sanctions on Russia are really hurting plus the price of oil falling so much. Just when the Russian people were enjoying a bit of prosperity and spending power he messes up . In his own words he admires the 19th century model of Imperialism. That is expanding Russia's borders. Russia is the largest country on the planet and doesn't even need more " living room ", it has plenty. Imperial expansionism creates dangerous tensions, both inside Russia with ethnic minorities and with their neighbours, such as Turkey and it's NATO allies. The sooner he retires the better for everyone.
You may be correct but I though his expansions were to preserve pipelines and ports and strategic interests in the middle east. If they were just power plays I stand corrected. I in no way consider myself and expert on Putin or Russian history.
I'm no Putin expert either but I do know something about Russians. I had the surreal experience of getting a request from a russian government agency through the US government to solve a problem. I traveled to several sites with a Defense Threat Reduction Agency agent following me around while I poked about trying to figure out the problem. I spent time in Moscow and St. Petersburg and made a very strange and tense trip to Dnepropetrovsk lol. The russians resemble us more closely than any other country on Earth. They basically just want a safe world for their kids to grow up in and some possibility of prospering. It is clear to me that we will have to work with Russia to defeat Islam. I'm not sure what Putin is up to with Crimea and Ukraine but I certainly trust him more than I trust Barrack Obama or Hillary Clinton. His opponents do have an unfortunate habit of turning up dead but their political system is pretty rough around the edges.
I would have thought the best reason for Hillary being President is to deny Trump the opportunity. The guy is a serious wacko and might do anything. She is more likely to carry on with managing the country's affairs while the Chump is trying to make a name for himself.
Sorry, that simply doesn't pass the smell test. She has been completely compromised with that "foundation" that has a laundry list of questionable donors. It brings into question many conflicts of interest and I believe is one of many reasons why she is still viewed as a lukewarm candidate.
I figure it's always a choice of the "least worse"...While I agree that Trump is big on ego, I don't see the same level of political baggage and it's definitely not "status quo"...Realistically, I couldn't bet money against Clinton for numerous reasons (demographics, media, finances, etc, etc)...6+ months of media focus on Trump will be an enormous obstacle.
hillary clinton will destroy the world. says marc faber... very short video... sort of entertaining. Points to her nation building failures. http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/v...i-d-vote-for-trump-clinton-will-destroy-world
The biggest regret from Obama is that he couldn't get much done. So it will be for the next Potus. The US system seemed to be made to reign in the politicians once they have got to power. Could Trump, if he wins, get so frustrated that he declares himself King or Dictator and scrap Congress. We shall have to wait and see.
Obama got everything the cronies wanted him and congress to get done and just about nothing else in america. they did however seem to let him mess up the middle east as much as he wanted.
