    Let's ask Hillary:

    Yes, very impressive, Hillary.

    Now let's ask her detractors:

I know which one I think makes the better case.

  3. So how do you explain the betting markets? Perhaps it's time for you to place a wager and make some easy money...

Ya know, if this goes south for Hillary, those "what about the betting markets" comments are going to bite you in the ass. The "betting markets" have been wrong before - in some cases catastrophically.

I'm merely pointing out that the odds favor Clinton. Meanwhile, jembot started a whole thread pontificating about why Clinton CAN'T be president. What was that about ass bites?

Of course you know the betting sites move their lines based on how much money one proposition or another is getting, so they can balance their book. One could argue their odds reflect the "wisdom of crowds", though imo probably more the "wishes of crowds".

This is what made betting on Denver profitable last night (depending on what proposition you took). I'm a Denver fan (not so much since Elway retired, long time ago, sadly), but I believed the books and thought Carolina would win. But I liked the odds my book was paying on Denver to score first, so that's what I took. Paid me @ 2.17.

small amounts of money can sway those lines so they are close to meaningless. and, last I checked it was illegal to make those bets. so why the hell would I want to memorialize illegal activity by betting over the net.

Yes, I respect the law and avoid doing illegal things. That is why I prefer smaller govt and more liberty. I take the law seriously.

finally, I note the trial balloons about lynch stepping aside to indict hillary was set afloat today. This is an indication of how strong the FBI case is against Hillary and how hard they are going to push for the indictment. If I were an illegal betting man or the President and I could pardon myself... I would take the odds and bet hillary gets indicted. It might restore a little bit of faith in the system for much of the country.

I would argue...the establishment has to get this done.

It's a problem that the public can't be told the specifics and two different Senators on the Intelligence Committee are already disagreeing along political lines. If they don't appoint an independent prosecutor, they should appoint a special intelligence master who is universally respected to convey the degree of seriousness to the public.

Bernie Sanders is right to respect the procedure and avoid political attacks.

if one senator says it and reporters, report similar concerns from FBI sources... that is enough.
A criminal investigation must be done... both to punish this wrongdoing if criminal violations occurred and to deter future ones. Our govt officials need to held accountable... not just republican ones.
