I already know that the only thing that will ever bring me true happiness is to have a child. I know an extremely intelligent, very wealthy man who, if he didn't have a kid, he wouldn't be happy at all. The key to happiness to to find something greater than your own existance to believe in. (God, a child, a partner, a job) I'm still working on that.
a partner and the job might evolve/morph into different things...but a child is forever or until he turns 15 and doesnt want you around...;o) i have said many a time my happiest moments are flying a kite with my son, taking him to soccer and wacthing him try to make a goal, helping him with his homework etc etc......peace
One of the best posts I've ever read. It sends a chill down my back to hear of parents out there like you. Most parents are too busy or stressed out to truly appreciate the little things like that. My dad never had time for me like that and I'll be damned if I ever treat my kid like he treated me. Thank you for being a good father.
I agree. It is God's will that all be happy, always. In the big picture, everything that is received has been asked for. Yes. A "setup" has been asked for. It does not fail to disappoint. Then I come along and tell you nothing about the world is real. Talk about a disappointment. Jesus
When you first said that I thought you were full of $hit. The more I think about it, the more I go out searching for the truth, the less I get done, the more confused I become, and the more mistakes I make. Accepting that that is so is the beginning of a new life for everyone.
Yes. The reason is because reality is NOW. God wills that all be happy always, NOW. So it is. To avoid it, one must live in the past or in anticipation of a future. The world is a past/future construct to avoid it. It does not exist NOW. Without past/future consciousness, the body would disappear. Inhabitants of the world are habituated to the thinking that makes the world. So most of it's thoughts are geared toward past/future type consciousness. There isn't much happiness to be found in this state. To be "in the world but not of the world" means to give attention to NOW while still seeming to walk on a planet. Happiness found in father/son type relationships is symbolic. Jesus
Yes. It's definitely an eye-opener. I understand that initially it can be upsetting. There is a realization that this is "hell". Simultaneously, there is this realization that "you" are not "here". This realization should give you a taste of joy. May your joy increase. The world will end in joy, because it was made in sadness, for sadness. Jesus
Hey Jesus, hows it going? Weird that i would run into you on a trading website, but you do work in mysterious ways. I prayed to you a while back to win the lottery. Didn't happen yet. The powerball goes off tonight, can you send the top prize my way? It would really come in handy this week. All the stocks are too expensive and I need more cash to buy them.
The guy who won the WSOP was praying to Jesus through the whole tournament. Not only him but his entire family and entourage were raising their hands every time he got in a pot. I think right now, Jesus is favoring orientals. If your not an asian this might be why your prayers werent answered.
