Why highly intelligent people are NOT happy.

  1. OK Bluud you asked for it

    you bloody asked for it

I will now spill the beans and tell you all how it is. Bluud is onto something here, what really happened is that man (bluud) got disillusioned with people around him.

    and for a good reason.

Friends are not true friends most of the time. I have friends that would like nothing better than to see me destroyed financially so that they can laugh.

Here is what a real friend is. Real friend will always let you know when he/she sees you are making a mistake

mistake when it comes to women, mistake when it comes to money,
mistake when it comes to raising your bloody kids.

A friend who won't comment and tell you where he thinks you are wrong IS NO REAL FRIEND

right now I HAVE NO REAL FRIENDS

I made money for friends that are not real friends to me

what does that say about me

am I a fool, or am I simply a good person

    is there a difference ????

Better to go through life as a good person, rather than a SCARED person.

The masses concern themselves more with whats accepted, than whats right.

And yes, happiness really comes down to friendship/social activity.

    Humans are social creatures.

And I write that from the solitary comfort of my apartment on a Saturday night.
    :O)

  3. Yes but the point me and Bluud (in a more graphic way) are pointing out is

how can you be happy socializing with friends if you know that they are not real friends as defined above

I'd rather read a good book

I don't understand why you think you are in such need of a REAL friend ... if you ever happen to bump into one then good for you ... but acting so desperate I wonder if you will get to anything??

if it made you happy at the time you did it I wouldn't say you were a fool at that time ... but now that you question it you are a fool for two reasons ... one that you regretting it (i'm not saying that you really are just assuming) means you did something that doesn't make you happy (in the present) ... second that you do actually regret it

I mean you did something some time ago ... now if you wonder if it was wrong or right makes you more of a fool than if it were actually wrong ....

I don't know if I could say you are a 'good person' ... since good person doesn't even make sense to me ... I mean are you asking if you are a good person for caring about other people and trying to become friends with them??? ... how is that different than saying I am a good person for caring about my car ...

why don't you try thinking of friendships in terms of mutual relationships ... equal give and takes ... like a company giving service to people, based on an agreement of this for that ... rather than feelings for hope ???

  5. that is exactly what I want to point out

people are not as good to me as I am to them. (its not equal give and take)

I am perfectly willing to entertain the idea that I am a social fool

    its called selective intelligence.

  6. the only person you can count on 100% is yourself

the only people you can count on 90% is your immediate family

everything else you can stick into biohazard container and light the fire

  7. Why aren't you happy. You are residing in the greatest nation of the world, U.S. How can you be sad. I hate the fact that may people are depressed in this country. There is nothng to be depressed about. Try to live in AFrica without food or water, see how much you will be depressed then.

On the other hand, there is always pills that make you go to lala land.

  8. I would like to end this thread with some words of wisdom

You reader and me, were not meant to exist this way

we were meant to exist in small communities, not large cities that span miles

we were meant to WORK for OURselves. to hunt our meat and plant our seeds in small groups, not to spend our lives in repetitive tasks inside CLOSED walls

we were meant to reproduce, how many of us fuckers are without kids, children give joy in life

you are supposed to go hunt or work in the field, and when you are done, come to your village and hug your kids and fuck your wife

you were NOT meant to think about your VISA bills, to think about car payments to think about GAS, to think about future of god damn US dollar

we were not meant to exist this way

    that is my final word

    take care all

  9. You are right, the alias Jesus has yet some ego in it.

The purpose of a public path is for reversing that.
At the end of my path, I no longer identified with any kind of individual identity. I could look at anyone and see "me". Then again, I could look at a rock and see me too, so don't let it go to your head!

In the last stages of laying down the ego, it feels like death.

If you are willing to pass through without fear, you will find that you are life eternal, and cannot die.

Earth is an ego's paradise. It's a good place to die.

Look at some of the experiences it gives you:

There is but one mind that holds these experiences in it's scope of attention.

This mind is your mind. There is only one mind so it is you. It seems like some other mind, but that's a set-up.

This mind is doing these things to itself!. That's why I say the world is the experience of self-crucifixion.

    Realizing this is your salvation.

Resist this and continue to suffer with it.

All of these painful experiences are ego related.

If you deny you are "Christ", then what else is left for you but to be an ego...something or someone you are not?

The mind that makes this world and the experiences it offers is an artificial mind within a real mind.

You are real because you are the real mind.

But so long as you identify with the ego that makes this world, you will follow it's lurid and painful scripts to the tomb, time and time again until you wake up.

As a rule of thumb, any aspect of mind appearing in a body is like-minded with the artificial mind that makes this world.

That included "me", Jesus, as I appeared in various embodiments.

Bodies are a product of egoic thinking. They symbolize the insane idea that the one mind can be partitioned and privatized, measured and compared.

To the mind that makes this world, bodies are like disposable razors.

How many times have you been in a "close shave"?

It's because the body is for experiences other than reality.

The idea that there are separate entities doing things to each other against their will is total unreality.

The mind has split itself so that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. But one mind is responsible.

What made me temporarily different, was that I discovered the reasons why such mind is in a self-mutilation mode.

When I dismissed the reasoning as unfounded and bogus, I transcended identification with such insanity.

And while this mind had death scripted for me, I handled it without suffering because by that time, I had dropped the ego.

After that I stayed only a short while in the ego's world to point the way out to the rest of myself, whom I called brethren.

But if this is paradise for you, stay as long as you like.

Don't worry, I'll be giving up the Jesus alias soon!

    Jesus
